"We are very pleased to announce today that the Young Jewish Leadership PAC officially endorses these Republican candidates in their November elections," said Lawrence Scheer, Chairman of the Young Jewish Leadership PAC.  “Each of these candidates has a demonstrated commitment to the safety of Israel and the development of a strong bilateral U.S.-Israel relationship.”

"We are deeply grateful to each of these candidates for their strong stances in support of the State of Israel and the U.S.-Israel relationship at a time when Israel faces existential threats from its neighbors and attacks from its enemies on the Left,” said Howard Fienberg, YJLPAC DC Chapter President.  Further, former YJLPAC Chairman David Teten stated, "The YJLPAC also encourages these candidates to live up to the traditional Republican goals of reducing the size, impact, and cost of government.”

Along with these endorsements, the YJLPAC has made contributions to these candidates and will lend its volunteer strength to these and other campaigns this fall.

YOUNG JEWISH LEADERSHIP PAC ENDORSES CONGRESSWOMAN SUE KELLY

Calls on Democratic candidate John Hall to repudiate endorsement from Progressive Democrats of America

NEW YORK - The Young Jewish Leadership PAC today endorsed Congresswoman Sue Kelly of New York’s 19th District for re-election to Congress. The group of young Jewish professionals also called on Democratic candidate John Hall to repudiate the endorsement from and return any money received from the Progressive Democrats of America – an organization that criticizes Israel’s right to defend itself from terrorism and draws a moral equivalence between Israel and terrorists.

“Congresswoman Kelly is a strong supporter of the U.S.-Israeli alliance in fighting terrorism, and has been a true leader in working to shut down the flow of money to terror networks. She is known nationwide and around the world for her work on terror finance, and for working in a bi-partisan way to establish the Congressional Anti Terror Finance Task Force,” stated Lawrence Scheer, Chairman of the Young Jewish Leadership PAC.

“John Hall’s acceptance of the endorsement of the Progressive Democrats of America, which has publicly equated Hamas’ legitimacy with Israel’s and has condemned Israel’s actions to defend itself, is deeply troubling. Hamas, which refuses to recognize Israel’s right to exist and is responsible for the murder of many innocent Israelis and Americans, has been recognized as a terrorist organization by the United States since 1995.  We call on John Hall to repudiate any endorsement and return any money from any individual or group that would draw a moral equivalence between Israel and a terrorist organization that does not recognize Israel’s right to exist, that opposes Israel’s right to strike at terrorists whenever and wherever they are found, or that refers to Israel’s actions to defend itself from terrorists as ‘extremist.’”
