As Election Day approaches, the Young Jewish Leadership PAC urges you to help get out the vote.

 

Our members have voted, and our allocations have been made. But at this crucial time, you can still make a difference!

If you can take time to help campaigns outside of our area, there are any number of candidates who could use your assistance, including those YJLPAC supports:

1,         Volunteer Opportunities

            -Join us for street campaigning. 

            -Help us hang campaign signs.

            -Help us spread the word to your neighbors. 

If you live within the 26^th District, why not host a brief “Meet Flip” event? (Here’s the map: http://latfor.state.ny.us/maps/propsen/fs026.pdf)

This only needs to be for a half-hour at the most.  You pick the date and the time and invite any of your neighbors or friends, and we supply the candidate!  Flip would love to meet as many of your neighbors/friends as possible to spread the word!  Or, we would be delighted to give you campaign literature to give to your neighbors and friends.  Please let us know!

Thus far, two free, public debates have been scheduled for this race.  We need you there to show your support for Flip!  Here is the information:

                        Sunday 10/22/06 – Candidates Forum, 2:30-3:30 p.m.

At Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, 331 E. 70 St. (between 1^st/2^nd Aves.)

                        Please arrive by 1:30 for a rally for Flip outside of the building!

Tuesday 10/24/06 – Candidates Forum, 8:00-8:30 p.m.

Sponsored by the 17^th Police Precinct Community Council

At Sutton Place Synagogue, 225 E. 51^st St. (between 2^nd and 3^rd Aves.)

                        Please arrive by 7:00 p.m. for a rally for Flip outside of the building!

3.         Help us get out the vote!

In the week prior to Election Day (November 1^st - 7^th), we’re going to be calling registered voters to remind them to vote for Flip!  We’ll have a phone bank set up at the campaign headquarters at the Metropolitan Club, 122 E. 83^rd Street (between Lexington and Park) every day during that week.  Please contact me at il...@flip4ny.com or at (646) 345-6630 to let us know your availability for making those calls!

We need to be out there in full force on Election Day to persuade those last-minute voters (before or after you head to the polls yourself to vote for Flip)!  Please contact me at il...@flip4ny.com or at (646) 345-6630 to let us know your availability for campaigning on that day, even if it’s only for an hour or two!
