Performance maker Kate Lee has teamed with acclaimed new literary voice, Anna Krien, to adapt and translate her shortstory Flicking The Flint for the stage. Fresh from Adelaide Fringe, this ensemble-created work delves into the depths of an institutionalised young man’s torrid past of abuse and addiction. Live electronic sound, beautiful lyricism and a confronting performance prickles with heat in a sensory landscape to tell this haunting story of a boy whose life is encircled by fire.
