Hi Folks,
Passing this along to the list. Since the rains have started, people will undoubtedly want to go visit the Pierce Canyon Falls off of County Road 53 in Yolo County. Be aware there is now a 'no parking' zone from the gate at the end of Road 53 to about 500-feet to the east, just before the last residential driveway on the road. This is so vehicles don't make it hard for farm trucks to navigate the 90-degree bend between the paved and unpaved section of the road at the gate.
You are still free to park east of the driveway. The County was supposed to put up signs marking where the 'no parking' area began. It makes for a little extra walking, but prevents difficulty with the neighbors. Reports are that the falls are flowing nicely after that last pulse we had!
