CELE 4 ATITUDINI CORECTE CARE CONDUC LA ELIBERARE,ARMONIE SI PACIFICARE


In sutra I.33 din Samadhi Pada-"Partea despre Enstaza"(transa
mistica)din Yoga Sutra(Reguli de aliniere), Patanjali enunta cele 4
atitudini corecte ce conduc la eliberare si la impacare cu semenii si
cu sine insusi.In cazul nerespectarii acestor atitudini practicantul
ramane ancorarat in lumea de la periferie,pilotat de realitatea
tranzitorie si nu se poate vorbi despre o iesire in larg.

karuna= E:compassion;empathy; R:empatie,non-identificare;mila;iertare

E:1.33.Consciousness settles as one radiates friendliness,
compassion,delight and equanimity toward all things, whether pleasant
or painful,good or bad.

discipline(virtuti;atitudini;porunci) devin firesti;doar cei ce nu vad
se lovesc pe ei insisi,adica nu practica ahimsa. Doar cel ce respecta
legea noua data de Iisus ("cel ce iubeste pe Dumnezeu din toata inima
sa si isi iubeste semenii ca pe sine insusi") are capacitatea de a
respecta toate poruncile,fiindca se comporta ca cel trezit
Yama(in lb.skrt.lit.: "disciplina nonabtinerii; atitudini;porunca
permisiva") sunt reguli de disciplina exterioara,porunci pentru
pacificare cu lumea(YS II.29,30); Yama este prima ramura (in lb.skrt.
:anga) din calea cu opt ramuri (ashtanga yoga) expusa de Patanjali in
Yoga Sutra si cuprinde poruncile sau preceptele morale cu validitate
universala care trebuie respectate pentru a realiza pacea cu lumea :
1.Ahimsa ("a nu face rau cuiva") este singura cea mai importanta
porunca si disciplina morala(yama), din care deriva toate
celelalte;Ahimsa (in lb.skrt. lit.:nu te abtine de la "respectul
tuturor fiintelor vii;non-violenta; a nu nedreptati pe cineva;a nu
pagubi;a nu rani o fiinta vie mental,verbal,prin atitudine,gest sau
fapta") este una din cele cinci discipline (virtuti;atitudini;porunci)
din prima ramura(Yama) din Raja-Yoga,asa cum sunt expuse in
Yoga-Sutra,de Patanjali(YS II.30,35);
2.Satya (skrt. lit.: "respectul adevarului ;adevar;sinceritate,
real,autentic,veridic")(YS II.30,36);
3.Asteya (skrt. lit.:" a nu fura, respectul
proprietaƄaL ii;respectul teritoriului semenilor) (YS II.30,37);
4.Brahmacharya (castitatea; practica castitatii conduce la eliberarea
din starea de instrument aflat in robia perpetuarii speciei-nu-i mai
transformam pe semenii nostrii si pe noi insine in instrumente de
satisfacere a placerilor senzuale;cel ce devine dependent de placerea
sexuala vede deformat realitatea:"doar cei ce nu vad continua sa se
lase mintiti de placere si cad in capcana mortala a risipirii vietii "
; practica castitatii este calea de a fi conectati la energia speciei
si la constiinta colectiva; (YS II.30,3 ;
5.Aparigraha(skrt.lit.:"a strange;a nu acumula;lipsa lacomiei;a nu te
atasa si a nu te identifica cu ceea ce posezi:avere,corp
fizic,cunoastere,pozitie sociala sau profesionala; trairea pentru "a
fi", iar nu pentru "a avea";saracia,golirea,vidarea) (YS II.30,35,39)
Niyama (in lb.skrt.lit.:"auto-restrictie;
infranare,abtinere,interdictii,porunca restrictiva ") a doua ramura de
pregatire a caii cu opt brate(ashtanga yoga) a lui Patanjali are drept
scop pacificarea interioara,impacarea cu sine insusi.
Niyama(YS II.29,32) presupune respectarea a cinci porunci sau
discipline:
1.Shauca (cultiva puritatea,curatenia;abtinere de la tot ce te
impurifica) (YS II.32,40),
2.Santosha (cultiva multumirea,recunostinta,satisfactia, moderarea
dorintelor;impacarea;abtinerea de la tot ce conduce la
nemultumire,frustarii-actiuni in afara sferei de influenta; (YS
II.32,42);
3.Tapas (cultiva austeritate,asceza,pasiune,inflacararea,
insufletirea,determinarea) (YS II.1,32,43; IV.1);
4.Svadhyaya (cultiva auto-observarea,vegherea,constienta, studiul de
sine;abtinerea de la automatisme) (YS II.1,32,44);
5.Ishvara-pranidhana (cultiva iubirea,devotarea fata de
Divinitate,predarea si daruieste fructele faptelor tale;renunta la
falsul eu;abtinere de la centrare in ego) (YS I.23,24; II.1,29,32,45)

Psihoterapia insomniei si tehnologia transei din hetero si auto hipnoza
confirma "eroarea luptei";"oricine lupta cu insomnia prelungeste starea
de excitatie corticala si ramane treaz pana dimineata"

Iisus vorbeste despre iertare atunci cand rastignit pe cruce

in Cer, asa si pe Pamant;Painea noastra,cea de toate zilele da-ne-o

Iisus vorbeste despre atitudinea de egalitate mentala de dincolo de
dualitatea bine-rau atunci cand face referire la Dumnezeu: "But I say
to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that
you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He makes his sun
rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the
unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do
not even the tax collectors do the same? (The Gospel of Matthew
5.44-5.46)

Lao Tzu:recomanda eliberarea din lumea iluzorie a dualitatii prin
practicarea constientei impartiale sau a non actiunii(Wu-Wei) la nivel
mental, verbal si comportamental;Sfantul practica nondiferentierea,
egalitatea mentala fata de contrarii("pentru sfant aurul si colbul de
pe drum au aceeasi valoare");"ca si cele doua fete ale aceleiasi
monede" , contrariile sunt realitati complementare,sincronice -care
deriva una din cealalta si nu pot exista independent-;veninul devine
remediu in functie de doza; disparitia multor specii si distrugerea
echilibrului ecologic de pe Terra a fost cauzata de etichetarea gresita
ca rele ori daunatoare a multor specii de animale si
plante("buruienile" au salvat cerealele degradate genetic in urma
exploatarii intensive );
promovarea conformismului si a supunerii in detrimentul creativitatii a
condus la inghetarea progresului si pierderea multor generatii de copii
creatori ;un proverb chinezesc vorbeste despre eroarea luptei cu raul
astfel:"daca lupti cu un demon ai grija sa nu devi unul"(identificarea
cu agresorul)
Shivaismul nondualist("Vijnana Bhairava"),enumera printre cele 112 cai
de a realiza centrarea sau accesul la Constiinta Cosmica sau Divina,si
metoda prezentata de Patanjali ;

Raul poate fi distrus tot prin rau?
In experienta noastra de zi cu zi - adesea chiar in experientele unor
fete luminate din domeniul religiei si al spiritualitatii - ne intilnim
cu o aplicare imediata a principiului din Vechiul Testament: "ochi
pentru ochi si dinte pentru dinte". Daca cineva ne-a lovit, devine
parca imperios necesar sa-i intoarcem lovitura. Daca cineva ne-a ranit,
parca sintem atrasi de sentimentele, gindurile si emotiile noastre sa-i
producem acelui om o rana cel putin la fel de mare. Ura ne orbeste
intr-atit, incit - in numele dreptatii, provenite din rana noastra si
in numele adevarului provenit din suferinta noastra - lucram cu
instrumentele celui pe care il judecam. Urim, lovim, distrugem si gasim
pentru acestea scuze: "El este rau, el m-a ranit, raul trebuie
distrus". Oare sa fie chiar o realitate aceea ca raul trebuie distrus
prin rau? Sau poate exista ceva mai mult, ceva mai puternic decit a
folosi pusca impotriva celui care foloseste pusca? A schimbat

care-l determina sa creada ca distrugerea raului este posibila prin
propria noastra inraire. Prima conditie pentru a trai maretia spuselor
lui Iisus este disponibilitatea noastra catre a intelege ce simtim, ce
gindim si ce facem atunci cind sintem tentati sa intoarcem o lovitura.
Este momentul in care putem trai in mod profund sentimentele pe care
le-a incercat agresorul nostru, precum si incapacitatea sa de a se
desprinde din ghearele acestor sentimente. Intelegem limpede - dupa ce
am decis ca dorim sa realizam actul de intelegere - ca ni se ofera
ocazia de a experimenta sursa urii si a raului si faptul ca numai si
numai alegerea clara, precisa, exacta si limpede de a nu ne urma aceste
impulsuri ne fereste de situatia de a nu ajunge la fel ca si agresorii
nostri. Ura, ca si dragostea, ne atrage si ne cheama misterios -
aparent fara sa ne intrebe - in actiuni regretabile. Ura nu exista
pentru a o urma, cit pentru a intelege incapacitatea celor mai multi
oameni de a rezista in fata ei si a o inlocui cu iubirea, intelegerea,
blindetea si bunatatea. Numai cind vom accepta "sa intoarcem si obrazul
celalalt", intr-un impuls de compasiune fata de agresor - altfel
inocent prin inconstienta sa si prin incapacitatea de a intelege ura ca
ocazie de vindecare a ei, vom putea spune ca am inceput sa urmam cu
adevarat invatatura lui Iisus. Si vom putea simti ce inseamna iubirea,

I. INTRODUCTION:
A. SCRIPTURE READING:
Romans 12:17-21 :"Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things
honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in
you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not
yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is
written,Vengeance is mine;I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if
thine enemy hunger, feed him;
if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of
fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with
good."

1. The Christian's foe.

A. THE CHRISTIAN'S FOE:
Note: It is evil. It is not an illusion, but a grim reality. We are
aware that there is a force, all about us,
that is acting in conflict with all that we love and hold dear in life.
This conflicting foe is described as:
1. Powerful " Unless we are fortified, it will overcome us as the
apostle Paul gives warning to the Corinthians.
I Corinthians 10:12 = "Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take
heed lest he fall".
2. It is not a flesh and blood enemy, but is spiritual.
Ephesians 6:10-12 = "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and
in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may
be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not
against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual
wickedness in high places."
3. It takes on various forms:
a. In evil thoughts.
Matthew 9:4 = "And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think
ye evil in your hearts?"
b. In evil words.
Titus 3:2 = "To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle,
shewing all meekness unto all men."
c. In evil deeds.
Colossians.1:21 = "And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in
your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled."
B. THE CHRISTIAN'S ATTITUDE TOWARD THE FOE:
Note: We need to assume one of the following attitudes regarding the
foe:
1. The indifferent attitude, of trying to ignore it - This is suicidal.

2. The fatalistic attitude, allowing evil to have its way in our hearts
and lives -- This also is suicidal.
3. The compromising attitude, which is in reality to give in, or
surrender to it.
4. The militant attitude, which is the Christian attitude.
a. He will abhor evil.
Romans 12:9 = "Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is
evil;cleave to that which is good."
b. He will be on guard against evil.
Matthew 26:41 = "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the
spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
c. He will strive to overcome evil.
Romans 12:21 = "...overcome evil with good."
Ephesians 6:13-17 = "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God,
that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all,
to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and
having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the
preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of
faith,
wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is

C. THE CHRISTIAN'S WEAPON:
1. Not retaliation.
Romans 12:17 = "Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things
honest in the sight of all men".
Romans 12:19 = "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather
give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will
repay, saith the Lord."
a. We cannot heal one wound by inflicting another.
b. Evil has never been vanquished by evil
Matthew 12:25-26 = "And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them,
Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and
every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if
Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his
kingdom stand?"
James 1:20 = "For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of
God."
2. Not denunciation.
a. Denunciation of evil has its place, but it has never overcome evil.
b. We cannot heal the world merely by finding its faults and condemning
them.
3. Not legislation.
a. Just laws are needed, but they have never eliminated a single evil.
b. Laws can only restrain evil doers but not the evil.
4. Not physical force.
Matthew 5:39 = "But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but
whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other
also."
a. Physical force has its place in the "powers that be", but this force
has never changed a sinful heart.
b. This kind of force can only subdue the body.

c. This should be the weapon of God's people.
1. Error is overcome with truth.
2. Curses are overcome with blessings.
3. Cruelty is overcome with kindness.
4. Wrath is overcome with a soft answer.
5. Sensuality is overcome with purity.
III. CONCLUSION:
A. WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED ABOUT THE FOE OF CHRISTIANITY?
1. That when we meet evil with evil, we only intensify it and lose.
2. That when we meet evil with good, we conquer it and win.
