TV Program response
Stage 1:
Today, I watched the Suite life of Zack and Cody, season 1 episode 11.
The suite life of Zack and Cody is a young adult comedy show. Overall, it’s about a pair of twins living in the Tipton hotel and the things that happen to them through out their daily lives in the hotel. The show was aired in Disney Channel from 2005-2008 and sometimes might air again for a few times or so. There are 3 seasons and 87 episodes of the Suite life of Zack and Cody.
The intended audience is for children and teens. The show met my expectations, I never thought that there is so much to talk about two twins living in a hotel and every episode was entertaining and funny. I like the show a lot and would recommend it to my classmates.
Stage 2:
I’ve watched The suite life of Zack and Cody season 1 episode 16 from you tube.
In each episode, what usually happens is that the twins get into trouble but mostly gets it solved in the end, somehow, and on the other head, the airhead daughter of the owner of the hotel, London Tipton and the candy counter girl, Maddie gets something going on between them and kind of relates to the twin’s doings. There is usually jumpy background music in each episode and most of them are the same ones. The background music expresses out the mood of the situation in the scene and how the characters are feeling.
Stage 3:
The suite life of Zack and Cody is a good show. This is because it is very funny, very entertaining and you wouldn’t get bored. Sometimes, we can also learn lessons from it. I find it funny because the jokes they talk about and the actions of the characters. I would like to watch this show and would like to continue watching more. I watched season 1 episode 17, and one of the scenes that I like is when London Tipton, Maddie and Zack sneaked into Jesse McCartney’s hotel room to put back his lucky bracelet that Zack took. The scene was very funny, especially when they accidentally woke Jesse up and get caught. The show is appropriate for my age, and it’s kind of similar to other kinds of Disney Channel sitcoms as well. I think that the TV show distracts us from what we are doing because of the jokes, and insulate us because of the excitement and don’t want to miss any funny parts.
Stage 4:
The characters in the show are quite real. Like in real life, extremely rich people are a bit air headed and can’t accept lots of things of the poor. Twins are mostly mischievous because since they look alike and are so similar they like to prank people and trick people. They have different emotions in different times of the scenes, not all acting and in perfect order and their emotions are predictable. They look like real people, but sometimes maybe a little too exaggerative.
P.S. It's suppose to be comedy too. Just so you know.
The Big Bang Theory (Stage 1:
Program Notes)
The Big Bang Theory is both Young Adult and Comedy. The episode I was watching was Season 5 Episode 3. I actually watched it on the airplane when I was coming back to Hong Kong. The story is basically about Leonard escorts Amy to a wedding, when they come back Leonard kisses Amy on the cheek, Amy thought that he likes her and goes to Penny, and she tries to figure out what is going on. Meanwhile, Howard convinces Bernadette(fiancé) to spend the week with him at his mother’s house as a trial run for the future. While all that happens, Sheldon is really getting involved in model trains. It airs on. There are 6 seasons. The TV program’s intended audience is teens and adults. I don’t know how to explain it but it just is. Well…there wasn’t anything else to watch on the plane and it is very funny. I expected it to be quite funny, due to the fact that many other people said it was hilarious! And of course it is:D Yep, it met my expectations, exceeded my expectations even. A little of romance, a lot of humor. My favorite kind of tv show.
I think it is a great show overall. It’s really really really funny. I can’t say it enough. Really really really funny:D I do recommend it! It’s a great show and it’s suitable for teens and adults. Some episodes are suitable for children 12 or below, but other than that….IT’S A GREAT SHOWJ
The Big Bang Theory (Stage 2: Analysis of Form)
To be honest, this episode has only been my second time watching The Big Theory series. I don’t really watch it that often, I only watch it when im on the plane, because there’s nothing much left to watch and I don’t where I can watch it when im home, so I watch it on the plane. So I don’t really know the basic plot behind each episode. But I know that in each episode, when Sheldon or any other character says something funny or when something funny happens, they add a laughing sound. I think add it there because they think that you to laugh then. I don’t think that it is necessary, it’s annoying and it’s just extra noise, even my dad thinks so. But that’s just my point of view.
The Big Bang Theory (Stage 3: Program Review)
I think that it is a good show. I remember that I read a review on the Internet about The Big Bang Theory, it was mostly compliments about how it is funny and entertaining, I don’t really remember the whole thing but I don’t think there were much comments. It was a good review for The Big Bang Theory. One scene that I liked it when Amy went home with Leonard and he gave her a peck on the cheek, it didn’t really mean anything, it was just a normal goodnight kiss but Amy thought that Leonard had a thing for her and went to Penny for help (Leonard lives across Penny) Penny knew something wasn’t right, since Amy’s boyfriend is Sheldon and she knows that Leonard doesn’t like her. When Leonard came home and told Sheldon that Amy can really help a guy relax, Sheldon slapped him. Leonard was shocked and asked what that was for and he replied saying “SHE IS NOT FOR YOU!” It was so funny. I laughed so loud that my mom turned around and looked at me:D
The Big Bang Theory (Stage 4: Final Analysis)
Well since im not quite familiar with the show, due to what I’ve seen in the episodes that I have watched, most of the reactions from the characters are quite predictable, but in some certain occasions, there might have a slight change in emotion or tone and response. Although Sheldon’s really are really predictable since his tone doesn’t really change that much but I have to say it’s really funny when you hear him talking! Even though predictable it’s really good to watch! Get a good laughJ And their acting is great!
The Wizards of the Waverly Place (stage 1)
Today I watched the first 4 Episodes from Season one of The Wizards of the Waverly Place.
Wizards of the Waverly Place is a Young Adult show that ran from 2007-2012 on the Disney channel. It is mainly about the three siblings (acted by Selena Gomez, Jake T. Austin and David Henrie) with magical abilities competing and learning against each other to win protection of family powers. This TV show has 4 seasons and 106 episodes in total, I think its intended audience it to Young adults, since its been showing on the Disney channel.
The Wizards of the Waverly Place is a very entertaining show, I chose this show to watch because I had saw its movie edition before and I found it very entertaining and the way they speak and act was vert interesting. I would recommend it to my classmates.
Wizards of the Waverly Place (stage 2)
I watched the 4 episodes on Youtube. In every episode, It has a similar plot. Usually, either the sister or the brother gets in trouble and they find a way to pay back revenge on each other. Normally what happens at the end is that either one or both of them get into trouble by being caught by their parents. In this TV show they always add in people’s laughter into certain parts to make it funnier.
Wizards of the Waverly Place (stage 3)
I liked the Wizards of the Waverly place and I think that it is a good show, it has a reflection on us, how school is, family and siblings arguments, friend issues etc. This TV show is very attractive to me and it makes me want to continue watching after watching each episode. There is a part in the second episode when Max and Justin decided to play a trick on Alex, by putting chocolate in her purse. When they sneaked into the restaurant they got caught by the waiter, however later on the waiter actually helped them with the trick. This scene got caught in my mind for a long time and it was very entertaining. I think that this show is appropriate for our age since the issues that happened in the show happens in our life too sometimes.
Wizards of the Waverly Place (stage 4)
The characters are real in the tv show, they can actually act out the emotions in the situation, for example arguing with their siblings, or receiving punishment from their parents. However, sometimes they get too dramatic and too strict, which makes it funny when we are watching the TV show but it would not happen in real life.
During the Mid-Term Break, I have watched “The Wizards of Waverly Place”. It is a popular American Series suitable for young adults to watch. The intended audience of the show are young adults and the advertisements of the shows targeted this class of audience and aimed to attract their attention and interest. The advertisements in the break time are all about selling Technology (Mobile Phones, Camera, Computer, etc.) and clothing. This series aired on Disney Channel (CH441) every Friday at 8:00pm from 12th October 2007 to 6th January 2012. There are 4 seasons in total. In season 1, there are 21 episodes, in season 2, there are 30 episodes, in season 3, there are 28 episodes and lastly in season 4, there are 27 episodes. “Wizards of Waverly Place” is about a wizarding family with three children who are Alex, Justin and Max. Alex is always the focus of the story. She always mistakenly uses magic and makes things go wrong. Each episode shows how teens tackle their problems and how they faced the consequences. The reason why I like to watch this program is because of its program name. Anything about magic and fantasy always attracts me. I like to watch something funny and unpredictable. I would recommend the show to my friends because the storyline is amusing and comical, with a lot of little jokes and humors. Furthermore, it is a good choice for my friends to entertain themselves while resting.
I watched three episodes in total through YouTube. They are: Season 2 Episode 21, Episode 22 and Episode 23. From watching three episodes, I found the form of the program. It follows the same template in every episode. Magic is central to every episode of the problem, In the beginning of each episode, the teens or the family always encountered some problems. Then, in the middle, Alex Russo, the main character will try to use magic to fix things up. But very often it turned out into a bigger problem. At the end, someone will use magic again to solve the problem.
I think Wizards of Waverly Place is a good show. The spells that the characters casted are hilarious. In Episode 21, Justin Russo was dating with Harper Finkle. Alex was jealous of their relationship and wanted to mess things up. Under the pressure of Alex’s mother, Alex Russo had to do something to make Justin and Harper go back together. One day, Alex deliberately invited Justin and Harper to come to her house. When they arrived, Alex casted a spell on her house. The spell stopped Justin and Harper from leaving the house and forced them to stay together. The spell let Justin and Harper have a chance to better understand each other. The spell Alex casted makes me laugh. I really enjoy watching this show. The characters in the story are real. I can see they have realistic emotion. In Episode 23, when Justin criticized how worse Alex’s drawings are, Alex was furious and made an angry face to Justin. Alex’s expression looked realistic. The expression communicates the feelings and thoughts of the characters to the audience effectively. If I have time, I will continue to watch this TV program.
Victorious
Stage one-
The show, Victorious is a young adult show that ran from 2010-2012 on Nickelodeon. It is about Tori, acted by Victoria Justice got into Hollywood Arts, which is a school full of talented student base on music and acting. Tori have to fit in to that school and in every episode she find out more about her friends in the school. This show still is on air now, but they are about to cancel this show and release the all 15 episodes for the last season. The target audience is for teenager and kids. I chose to watch this show because I really like the idea of every episode; every shows have many funny incidents and the characters solved in a very unexpected way. There are 4 seasons in this show, the first season contained 19 episodes, the second season contained 13 episodes episodes in it have watched, “Stage Fighting“, “Cat’s new boyfriend”, “Tori the zombie”, “Sleepover at Sikowitz”. I watched it in YouTube.
Stage three-
I think this is a good show because this show’s every episodes all have different stories about the life of each main character and Tori (the very main character) get to find out about it. And while Tori is discovering, there are always so funny, hilarious things that the audience can laugh about. This show is very appropriate for young adults; there isn’t any inappropriate words or actions in the show.
Stage four-
The characters in the show are quite realistic in the show and their emotions and tone are demonstrated in a really unexpected way and I really liked it. I would really recommend people to watch it because I think the stories are really creative in the show and I really enjoyed it.
Tv show response 11.11.12
STAGE 1
The name of this show is called Victorious. It is a Young adult TV show.
The show is basically about Tori Vega, got accepted to Hollywood Arts with crazy talented students in it and the episodes are things that happen through her days in the school and interesting things happening in their friendships. The show airs on Nickelodeon, but I watch the episodes through YouTube in Putlocker. The show has 4 seasons 49 episodes. The intended audience are teenagers, because the situations that happen are sometimes a bit similar to teenagers and there are jokes that probably younger children don’t understand.
I chose to watch this show at first because some of my friends watch it and it sounds interesting. I expected that it would be more of a drama show and can be for age groups a little older than the sitcoms from Disney Channel. After watching the show, I find it really funny and entertaining. Overall, I like the show and I would recommend it to my classmates.
