I have watched Wild case files. This show is about bizarre things happening around the world in the nature. The episode I watched is about the shark bites in the coast of Florida. There are shark bites commonly in that place and investigators are investigating about it. The shark activity increases when the moon is round and crescent. After researches, it was found that the exploit life in the John F Kennedy Rock center has the fishes which needed to swim back to the sea every year. Then, because this part is protected, those fishes breed and they breed in the ocean at the time of full moon and crescents. Sharks are attracted by those fishes every time of the month. In addition, at the beach, the distance between human and shark are not that far as thought, they are at most 10ft. away. Sharks are also swimming around the coast in the amount of thousands and 10 thousands. The contact between the two spices can not be stopped.
I think that this show is both educational and also awesome because it can create suspense of what on earth did those work. Also, it gives me more biological facts that I will need in the future.

On Sunday, I watched the Amazing Race. In that episode, they went to Gui Lin China. Since one of the pair can talk mandarin, they have a great advantage. There are a pair that had a two hour penalty and they started the race four hours later than the other pairs. During the race, they need to take a small boat out to the sea and feed some fish to the birds. They need to feed ten birds in order to continued the race. I think the birds are so cute because when the competitors throw a fish, the birds will dive down into the water and catch the fish. One of the competitors is deaf, which he can't really communicate with his partner which is his mom. At last two sisters won this station of the race. I think the pair who knows how to say chinese should win, because the other pairs just follow them to reach the last pit stop. I am really looking forward to the next episode as the number of pairs are decreasing and the finals will be coming.

On Sunday I watched Fear Factor on youtube, in this episode I there are four pairs of competitor, and the pair i always remember was a pair of gay guys(no offense), but i it just so special because the won at. The event i like the most is that there is a car that had 20 flags sticked on every single place of the car and the pairs need to many flags as they can, and the car is up in the sky hanging above the river by the helicopter, If they both drop to the river they game stop and count how many flag they get and the one had the least flag will be eliminated if the team get the same amount of flag than they wil count which team takes longer time and the one with shorter time will eliminated.

The movie that I will talk about is “the thing 2011”.  This is a honor movie, it a good movie too.

The story is about a team that in Antarctica found a space ship and a frozen alien, they toke the frozen alien back to their house, but the frozen alien is waked by them and killed a people.  The people used fire to kill the alien.

They didn’t know that the cells of the alien knows how to copy the cells of human and pretend a human, and the alien is still killing people over their. almost all the team were dead and there just left one woman is alive, and she is finally saved.

This movie is scared, but it is a good movie.

The main character is the woman, she found out that the alien cells can copy human cells and turn to a human, and she know how to found out a alien easily, but they fail to kill them.

The Amazing Race stage 1

The show is The Amazing Race. It falls in the genre reality. The show is a competition between pairs to compete while traveling all over the world. They need to do tasks and race against time. The last pair to arrive every episode will be eliminated. I am currently watching season 14 of the amazing race on TV. It is shown from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm every Sunday night. This show is for every age group, the tasks they do are the different culture of that country. I chose this show because I found it so exciting and fun to watch. I will recommend it to anyone because this TV show is suitable to everyone. Overall, I think this show is a good show to watch while learning the culture of different countries.

The Amazing Race   Stage 2

I watched episode 8 in the series. I watched it on pearl. In this episode, they went to Thailand and one of the tasks is to fix a boat’s propeller. They arrived there with a taxi, and they told the taxi to wait for them outside while they walk into a little dock to fix the boats. After they fixed the boats, they were immediately taken off to the river. Two pairs are smart and they got their bags first, but most of them left their bags in the taxi. At last they need to travel back to the little dock and get back their bags before they can finish the race. In every episode of The Amazing Race, there will be some unpredictable things that could happen. Not all the pairs could be successful throughout the race. When things happen, there will also be some sound effects which makes the audience feel that they did something wrong.

The Amazing Race   Stage 3

This TV show is a good show, since every episode is exhilarating and exciting. Every time there is some mistakes the competitors made, we can watch how flexible they are and how will they solve the problem. We could also find out the character of that person. In the same time, we can explore on the culture of different countries. One time, they need to go to a swimming pool and they will choose to dive or to swim 400 meters. Some of them chose to swim and two pairs chose to dive. One of the pair are very bad at swimming. They are really scared when they went up to the diving board. They changed to swimming and came back, while they chose swimming at last. One of them cried and said she want to go home because she just hates swimming. After all the other pairs are done, the pair still haven’t finish. The other competitors told them that they can do it while they left the pool. I liked the show, because even they compete to each other, they will also cheer others up. This show also teaches us how to be good to each other and the cooperating skill we can learn from the competitors.

The Amazing Race    Stage 4

The characters in this shows is definitely real. They race against each other while showing their true self to the audience. All the good and the bad of each pair could be easily identified. It will also show the weakness of a person. They will get dirty, or faint in the sun. But I never saw them say that they need to go to the toilet. But the show is still reality because the competitors show us how to be a good person and how to solve problems. We should still be happy even we are so left behind. This TV show is a very good show for any age group. I recommend that you will watch it!

on sunday I watched the Top Gear. This episode is talking about the new Bugatti Veyron: super sport. since Bugatti Veyron became the fastest car in the world. All the other brands are trying to make the fastest sports car but no one can defeat Bugatti Veyron : super sport. One of the part of the Top Gear is to invite a movie star to drive a normal family car to see who can creates the fastest record and their names will go on to the lap record billboard. The most eye-catching part is the part is the adventure of the three presenters racing against each other. The most dreary and boring section is the revision of the old cars because I think we should focus on the future not the pass. Watching Top Gear can make you get entertained because the three presenters have the sense of humor and you can learn lots of new technology, information of cars so that you can be the first one to know the newest informations about cars.

The show is not totally educational because there are some jokes that are not appropriate for children, but I think Top Gear is still a good show to watch so that you can be an expert of cars and make you get entertained.

MythBusters- Stage 1

Yesterday, I saw an episode of MythBusters on discovery channel. It is a English reality TV show that involves Adam Savage, Jamie Hyneman and the rest of the MythBusters crew testing out myths from various myths from movies or common sayings or controversy or stereotypes, such as “Men are better drivers then women”, “A sailboat on a calm ocean can sail by using an on-board fan to blow air into the sail. It airs at 2pm on Saturday. So far there have been 10 seasons with a total of 192 episodes that have been aired. The intended audiences for MythBusters are people who enjoy science and experiments. You can tell this because the MythBusters use science and engineering to test and prove the possibility of the myth. It is also targeted to people who enjoy action-packed movies because they often test movie myths meaning that they usually test guns, rockets, explosives and cars. I’ve decided to choose this TV show because it is very informative and entertaining to watch. The hosts are always making jokes and having fun building and conducting experiments. Whenever I watch a MythBuster episode, I expect it to entertain and inform me about the myth and the plausibility of it in real life. I recommend MythBusters to anyone over the age of 12 who enjoys action or science. The reason why I recommend it for people over 12 is because kids under the age of 12 might not understand the myth or what they are talking about too much.

Stage 2

I watched season 10 episode 11, “Duel Dilemmas” on Discovery Channel today and season 10 episode 10 and 12, “Bubble pack plunge” and “Hollywood gunslingers”. The show always has an iconic clip before every episode and after every commercial break. It is a clip of Adam and Jamie saying, “Please do not try what you are about to see at home. We’re what you’d call experts.” All of these episodes follow a general pattern, they always first have an intro in which they mention the myths that they will test and introduce the cast and hosts. The background music in the intro sounds mechanical and heavy which matches the mood and feeling of the show. Once the show starts, they show a drawing of the myth drawn on blueprint paper. Then the hosts introduce the myth followed by the narrator elaborating on the details of the myth. The hosts usually start of with proof of concepts tests to figure out if the myth is possible. If it doesn’t follow the laws of reality, then they give the myth the benefit of the doubt. After testing in small scale, the MythBusters go full scale, replicating the myth and seeing if it can or will actually happen. They all almost always go full scale after they finish the small scale unless it poses some safety issues. If the experiment doesn’t work in full scale, the myth is busted, but even if the full scale doesn’t work like the myth, the MythBusters will replicate the results of the myth. They will usually recreate the myth, whether it be adding more rockets or more fuel. This is so that the viewers who wanted to see things explode aren’t disappointed. There are usually 2- 3 myths per episode and they are usually done simultaneously, one with Adam and Jamie and the other one with Kari, Grant and Tori, the co-hosts.

Stage 3

MythBusters is a great show because it takes common saying and myths and uses science to bust or confirm the myth. Some, if not most of the myths that they test are myths that you have probably heard of. The show can and will relate to the audience and will make the viewer want to watch the rest of the episode to figure out what happens, is the myth busted or confirmed. As for the movie myths, they usually choose movies that are famous and well-known such as the ejector seat from James Bond. The main point of MythBusters is to inform and entertain the viewer. I enjoy MythBusters because I enjoy watching them solve problems and conducting experiments and also blowing things up. The viewer will also experience the emotions that the MythBusters feel. The viewers will feel the adrenaline rush that the hosts feel when they explode something or fire a rocket, they will feel nervous when the host is climbing a 50 foot building with suction cups. This is one of the great things about MythBusters. You can easily be immersed in the atmosphere.

Stage 4

MythBusters fits into the reality section because it is real and the scenes weren’t acted out for the most part. The hosts and things that happen in MythBusters are all real, We can tell it because the hosts’ usually get excited when they are launching a rocket or exploding a car as a normal person would’ve. But, sometimes, a part of the show is scripted, for one, when Jamie and Adam are introducing the myth, this scene probably and most likely scripted. I believe the because they always have Jamie or Adam acting out or using riddles to make the other person guess what the myth is, it means that in the first part of the episode is scripted, the hosts aren’t talking directly to the audience but are acting so that the viewer can easily understand the myth at hand, which means that they probably were acting. Another reason why I can tell that this is scripted is because they never seem to mess up or say something wrong like they do when they are working. Thirdly, since they were talking to each other, it would be very easy to write a script and because they always cut after they finish talking about the myth. Another part of the show that is scripted is the narrator.  The only thing that the narrator does is narrating the process and elaborates on the subject myth. He tells us most of the backstory and the science behind the test and method of testing. Although most of it isn’t scripted, the TV show uses editing to edit out or speed up the set up and the building process of something, this is so that it wouldn’t be boring to watch.

Man VS Wild

Episode 2- Borneo Jungle

The show that I will be discussing is called Man VS Wild. It is under the genre of Reality. There are series of episodes in different seasons and currently it plays on Pearl every Wednesday. I chose to discuss about this show because I think is educational and interesting. It tells you how to survive in the wild and teaches you the life-saving skills. Overall, I think this show is simply awesome, exciting and I recommend others to watch this show too.

I watch the 2nd episode yesterday. It was about how to survive in the Borneo Jungle and how to escape successfully. Borneo Jungle is one of the most dangerous and biggest Jungles on earth. Once, A German adventurist went hiking in the jungle and he got lost. His body was found 5 months after. Bear Grylls was showing us how to survive successfully. He faced many challenges in the Jungle but he never gave up. He always says to himself I can, I can and that motivates him to his way of success. Without food, you will die. So he has to find something to eat. In this episode, he caught a snake and he ate it after he burned it. He tried to catch fishes but he failed. He tells us that Failure happens, just move on and make a new start. In every episode, he delivers us a message, the key of survival in the wild. You can live 3 minutes without oxygen. You can live 3 days without water. And you can live 3 weeks without food. There are no music effects in the show, which makes the show more serious and real. Bear Grylls is the only character in the show. But hes not the only one whos surviving in the wild; the cameraman is there with him too!

I think this show is a really good show, it is really exciting and we can see how he is going to survive in the wild, which is very interesting. And on the other hand, we can also learn techniques that would be useful for us in the future. I would like to watch other episodes of Man VS Wild. Not only by my own, but also share the excitement with my family too. I never tried living in the wild before; but I would like to try it since Im a person who likes to try new things.

The person and experience in the show is real. Bear Grylls is really trying to survive in the wild by himself with no help. His dirtiness and wound is real, not manmade. But some people say that Man VS Wild is fake, well I dont really believe so. Its okay as long I like the show and I believe is real. Although some reality shows are scripted, I dont think this one is. Because how could the environment be script? How can you tell the environment to do something? Youre not God right? So I believe this is real. This show is very popular, almost everyone has heard about Man VS Wild. Bear Grylls is a very successful person. This time, he survived in the Borneo Jungle and he found civilizations at the end. I like this episode very much and I am looking forward to watching the next one.

America's Got Talent Stage 1

The show that I have watched in the Mid-Term Break is America's Got Talent 2012(AGT). This

America’s Got Talent Stage 3    Program Review

This show is good to show, because there are many things that people and the judges had never seen before. One Time their was a boy called Turf 21 years old comes form San Francisco , He has been homeless for two years, and he makes his living by dancing on the streets. That day Turf went on the show and performs his own dance to the judges and the audiences. First he did Moon-Walking on his tip-toes Slow-move then he did some  dangerous movement, He flipped his limbs and Created a series of utterly bizarre shapes with his body. . I think Turf Performance is not suitable for some elder people and some children, because they would say his moment was horrible and don’t expect people would do.   Video of TURF  link:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZD_A1qzk4Q

Episode 12: Boothcamp in Las Vegas

The show I would be discussing is called "America's Got Talent". It is played on Pearl on every Saturday, at 8:30 in the afternoon. People would perform their talent to the three judges, Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan. Competing for one million USD and a live show in Las Vegas. In this episode, the acts that was qualified to Las Vegas is all here in the Las Vegas Theater. They are competing for the 48 spots to qualify to Hollywood for the next round of elimination.

There are many seasons and episodes in this show. I've watched last year's season and I think it is really interesting, therefore, I chose to continue watching. Last season's winner was Michael Grimm. The audience of this show is all aged, from kinds, to elderlies. And so as the performers. As I said before, I think this show is very interesting and exciting, so I decide to discuss about it. Watching exciting, funny, cool performances are better than anything.

This show has exceed my expectation. I didn't expect so much from this show, and so as the performers. The quality of performance is better and better each year, the atmosphere too. Overall, I just like this show so much. Almost everyone in U.S. is watching this show, and I truely recommend other schoolmates to watch it too. Do what I do, share the happiness with others!

The Amazing Race (Stage 1: Program Notes)

I have watched The Amazing Race. It is a reality TV show. It is about 11 teams racing around the world for a prize of one or two million dollars. It airs on CBS every Sunday at 8pm. There are currently 21 seasons and 243 43-minute episodes in the original version of the show. It's intended audience is those who like reality game shows or those who like to travel around the world. I chose to watch this show because I like it a lot. It appeals to me because it is very exciting. My expectations before watching the show was that it is going to be like any other episode. I found the show to meet my expectations because it is very exciting. I think it is a great show but I would not recommend the show to others because I do not want to.

Its intended audience is all the people around the world. The commercials that shown on the TV are in different types. Some advertisements are for elderlies and some of them are for children. I chose this TV Programme to watch because my friends at school said that "America Got Talent" is very interesting. In my mind, I personally think that the school's talent show is fun and unexpected. America's Got Talent:

The TV program I watched on Saturday at 8:30 pm is America’s Got Talent. It’s a reality show where Americans go on the famous stage of AGT (America’s Got Talent) and showcase, of course, their talents. The whole progress takes a long time, and as the finalist compete, the one that gets picked on as the winner gets one million US dollars.

The episode I’ve just watched is the last in the audition stage, and the first set of competitors was already very bright. The three 8 year-old girls sang “Baby” by Justin Bieber. They got 2 yeses from two of the judges Sharon and Howie and a no from Peirce, the strict judge who loves to play on Howie. But the girls still get to go to Los Vegas for the real tournament as they get 2 yeses, and the other.

Another highlight was two elderly performing headstands and piano singing. The head stander was 67 and the piano singer was 81!

The previous episode was even more exciting. There were a rod swallower, an opera mother, an 11 year-old piano singer, a fat but really dance-y dude, and 8 and 13 year olds riding motorbikes inside a giant ball. Now that last bit was REALLY exciting and talented. All of those get to go to Los Vegas for the upcoming tournament, but others weren’t so lucky. They got either 2 or 3 no-s and they had to go home and can’t compete any longer.

My whole family watches this show together, and sometimes when we visit my granny on the time, my aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins watch with us too. It is truly an amazing (but sometimes gruesome) reality show for most ages, as younger ones might learn the dangerous acts. AGT is one of my favourite reality show. J

I have watched the Mythbusters hosted by Adam Savage and Jamie Hynemen. The episode I watched is about can a man who wears different kind of shoes affect driving. Adam have tried to wear different shoes like high heels, boots to see if they can affect driving. So, they made a course which can test the skills. In the tests, it shows that there are no difference. In the test that they tried the scenario as drunk man and full bladder, it showed that it would seriously affect the drivers attitude. I think that this show can see that fact that science is in our daily life because that it uses a lot of scientific theorem like velocity.

This week watch man vs wild, and this time Bear didn't go anywhere he his just showing some highlights of previous video. He is showing some technique of how to survive on different situation, for example when you are at antarctica it is very hard to find some drinkable water, you can't drink salt water, because salt water will make you even more thirsty, you may fill you water bottle will snow and use your body temperature to melt the snow, or you may try to find some melted snow beside the sea or ocean, and Bear did find some drinkable water beside the sea. And he did drink some water from a elephant poo on a desert.

Jeremy Clarkson and James May have a try of the two cars and they give a mark of 458 is better than mc laren, because mc laren is harder to control and the 458 is prefect. And they got a drag race of that two cars and often the  458 win the race.

"America's Funniest Home Videos" (Stage 1: Program Notes)
The show is America's Funniest Home Videos. The name is americas funniest home videos s21309 HD - Would You Reelect Obama In 2012? The genre is Reality. Overall what usually happens is, it's about people from all over the place sharing their upset inappropriate videos but funny in the way that they got hurt. It airs on Pearl during Saturdays around 8:30-9:30pm a few years ago. There are 21 seasons and 9 episodes. The intended audience are the ones who are heartless about people being in pain because they laugh and doesn't notice how hurt they may feel. I chose this show to watch because I remembered watching these shows when I was young during dinner time. The appeal to me was,  I remember I always watched parts of it, so I'd like to try and watch a full episode. The show did not meet my expectations, because before watching this show, I expected it to be an educational show. It made me afraid of watching further. Overall, I think it is a bad show and the techniques they used to amuse their intended audience are people really love money, they can hurt themselves for getting votes to earn money when it isn't necessary. I wouldn't recommend this show to those whom are really caring because it would make them feel disgusted.
Stage 2: Analysis of Form
I watched this episode through Youtube. To 44 degree are the shows that I am examining predictable. The (certain) sound(s are associated with particular character and themes and are matched to the mood of a character(s)) effects played in this episode was when the person fell down on the floor. The sound effects add to the program is making it more noticeable. They can be an integral part of the show, or to others perspectives may just be extra noise.
Stage 3: Program Review
I remembered one guy doing summersaults back and forth for a several times, meanwhile I was considering in my brain, wow he's really good. Then, when he was doing backwards summersault he hit a tool on the playground and people were laughing when he was ouching. It is compared to other shows by getting hurt and shows like America's got talent is to play with dangerous tools but won't get hurt. There aren't roles that the show might fill that Murrow has not mentioned.
Stage 4: Final Analysis
The characters are real in the way that they are in the videos doing these silly hurtful actions. They have a full range of real emotions. Their are emotions predictable. They look like real people. Their hair can be very mussed. They may get dirty. They may go to the bathroom. They don't get sick. They should grow at a normal rate.

"America's Funniest Home Videos" (Stage 1: Program Notes)
The show is America's Funniest Home Videos. The name is americas funniest home videos s21309 HD - Would You Reelect Obama In 2012? The genre is Reality. Overall what usually happens is, it's about people from all over the places sharing their upset and inappropriate videos but funny in the way they got hurt. It airs on Pearl during Saturdays at 8:30-9:30pm a few years ago. Overall, I think it is a bad show and it amuses us by using the techniques people really love money, they can hurt themselves for getting votes to earn money when it isn't necessary. I wouldn't recommend this show to those whom are really caring because it would make them feel disgusted.
Stage 2: Analysis of Form
I watched this episode through Youtube. To 44 degrees are the shows that I am examining predictable. The (certain) sound(s are associated with particular character and themes and are matched to the mood of a character(s)) effects played in this episode was when the person fell down on the floor. The sound effects add to the program is making it more noticeable. They can be an integral part of the show, or to others perspectives may just be extra noise.
