The movie that I will talk about is “the thing 2011”. This is a honor movie, it a good movie too.
The story is about a team that in Antarctica found a space ship and a frozen alien, they toke the frozen alien back to their house, but the frozen alien is waked by them and killed a people. The people used fire to kill the alien.
They didn’t know that the cells of the alien knows how to copy the cells of human and pretend a human, and the alien is still killing people over their. almost all the team were dead and there just left one woman is alive, and she is finally saved.
This movie is scared, but it is a good movie.
The main character is the woman, she found out that the alien cells can copy human cells and turn to a human, and she know how to found out a alien easily, but they fail to kill them.
The Amazing Race stage 1
The Amazing Race Stage 2
I watched episode 8 in the series. I watched it on pearl. In this episode, they went to Thailand and one of the tasks is to fix a boat’s propeller. They arrived there with a taxi, and they told the taxi to wait for them outside while they walk into a little dock to fix the boats. After they fixed the boats, they were immediately taken off to the river. Two pairs are smart and they got their bags first, but most of them left their bags in the taxi. At last they need to travel back to the little dock and get back their bags before they can finish the race. In every episode of The Amazing Race, there will be some unpredictable things that could happen. Not all the pairs could be successful throughout the race. When things happen, there will also be some sound effects which makes the audience feel that they did something wrong.
The Amazing Race Stage 3
This TV show is a good show, since every episode is exhilarating and exciting. Every time there is some mistakes the competitors made, we can watch how flexible they are and how will they solve the problem. We could also find out the character of that person. In the same time, we can explore on the culture of different countries. One time, they need to go to a swimming pool and they will choose to dive or to swim 400 meters. Some of them chose to swim and two pairs chose to dive. One of the pair are very bad at swimming. They are really scared when they went up to the diving board. They changed to swimming and came back, while they chose swimming at last. One of them cried and said she want to go home because she just hates swimming. After all the other pairs are done, the pair still haven’t finish. The other competitors told them that they can do it while they left the pool. I liked the show, because even they compete to each other, they will also cheer others up. This show also teaches us how to be good to each other and the cooperating skill we can learn from the competitors.
The Amazing Race Stage 4
Yesterday, I saw an episode of MythBusters on discovery channel. It is a English reality TV show that involves Adam Savage, Jamie Hyneman and the rest of the MythBusters crew testing out myths from various myths from movies or common sayings or controversy or stereotypes, such as “Men are better drivers then women”, “A sailboat on a calm ocean can sail by using an on-board fan to blow air into the sail. It airs at 2pm on Saturday. So far there have been 10 seasons with a total of 192 episodes that have been aired. The intended audiences for MythBusters are people who enjoy science and experiments. You can tell this because the MythBusters use science and engineering to test and prove the possibility of the myth. It is also targeted to people who enjoy action-packed movies because they often test movie myths meaning that they usually test guns, rockets, explosives and cars. I’ve decided to choose this TV show because it is very informative and entertaining to watch. The hosts are always making jokes and having fun building and conducting experiments. Whenever I watch a MythBuster episode, I expect it to entertain and inform me about the myth and the plausibility of it in real life. I recommend MythBusters to anyone over the age of 12 who enjoys action or science. The reason why I recommend it for people over 12 is because kids under the age of 12 might not understand the myth or what they are talking about too much.
Stage 2
I watched season 10 episode 11, “Duel Dilemmas” on Discovery
Channel today and season 10 episode 10 and 12, “Bubble pack plunge” and
“Hollywood gunslingers”. The show always has an iconic clip before every
episode and after every commercial break. It is a clip of Adam and Jamie
saying, “Please do not try what you are about to see at home. We’re what you’d
call experts.” All of these episodes follow a general pattern, they always
first have an intro in which they mention the myths that they will test and
introduce the cast and hosts. The background music in the intro sounds
mechanical and heavy which matches the mood and feeling of the show. Once the
show starts, they show a drawing of the myth drawn on blueprint paper. Then the
hosts introduce the myth followed by the narrator elaborating on the details of
the myth. The hosts usually start of with proof of concepts tests to figure out
if the myth is possible. If it doesn’t follow the laws of reality, then they
give the myth the benefit of the doubt. After testing in small scale, the MythBusters
go full scale, replicating the myth and seeing if it can or will actually
happen. They all almost always go full scale after they finish the small scale
unless it poses some safety issues. If the experiment doesn’t work in full
scale, the myth is busted, but even if the full scale doesn’t work like the myth,
the MythBusters will replicate the results of the myth. They will usually
recreate the myth, whether it be adding more rockets or more fuel. This is so
that the viewers who wanted to see things explode aren’t disappointed. There
are usually 2- 3 myths per episode and they are usually done simultaneously,
one with Adam and Jamie and the other one with Kari, Grant and Tori, the
co-hosts.
Stage 3
MythBusters is a great show because it takes common saying and myths and uses science to bust or confirm the myth. Some, if not most of the myths that they test are myths that you have probably heard of. The show can and will relate to the audience and will make the viewer want to watch the rest of the episode to figure out what happens, is the myth busted or confirmed. As for the movie myths, they usually choose movies that are famous and well-known such as the ejector seat from James Bond. The main point of MythBusters is to inform and entertain the viewer. I enjoy MythBusters because I enjoy watching them solve problems and conducting experiments and also blowing things up. The viewer will also experience the emotions that the MythBusters feel. The viewers will feel the adrenaline rush that the hosts feel when they explode something or fire a rocket, they will feel nervous when the host is climbing a 50 foot building with suction cups. This is one of the great things about MythBusters. You can easily be immersed in the atmosphere.
Stage 4
MythBusters fits into the reality section because it is real and the scenes weren’t acted out for the most part. The hosts and things that happen in MythBusters are all real, We can tell it because the hosts’ usually get excited when they are launching a rocket or exploding a car as a normal person would’ve. But, sometimes, a part of the show is scripted, for one, when Jamie and Adam are introducing the myth, this scene probably and most likely scripted. I believe the because they always have Jamie or Adam acting out or using riddles to make the other person guess what the myth is, it means that in the first part of the episode is scripted, the hosts aren’t talking directly to the audience but are acting so that the viewer can easily understand the myth at hand, which means that they probably were acting. Another reason why I can tell that this is scripted is because they never seem to mess up or say something wrong like they do when they are working. Thirdly, since they were talking to each other, it would be very easy to write a script and because they always cut after they finish talking about the myth. Another part of the show that is scripted is the narrator. The only thing that the narrator does is narrating the process and elaborates on the subject myth. He tells us most of the backstory and the science behind the test and method of testing. Although most of it isn’t scripted, the TV show uses editing to edit out or speed up the set up and the building process of something, this is so that it wouldn’t be boring to watch.
Summary
This is show talk about how to survive in the real life wildlife , how to face problem without modern tool.
I like this show , this is my top favorite show.
Character
Bear gyrills- soldier before the show , make two famous show, one is man vs wild, one is worst case scenario. One time, he broke his backbone, but he survived his fall. In every episode beginning, he alway do a awesome jump from a plane or helicopter . ending alway say i survice.
Main lesson
Teach us about survive in the wild and how to return to human place. There is 4 type of main landscrape, mountain, dessert, sea, grassland
Man VS Wild
Episode 2- Borneo Jungle
The show that I will be discussing is called “Man VS Wild”. It is under the genre of Reality. There are series of episodes in different seasons and currently it plays on Pearl every Wednesday. I chose to discuss about this show because I think is educational and interesting. It tells you how to survive in the wild and teaches you the life-saving skills. Overall, I think this show is simply awesome, exciting and I recommend others to watch this show too.
I watch the 2nd episode yesterday. It was about how to survive in the Borneo Jungle and how to escape successfully. Borneo Jungle is one of the most dangerous and biggest Jungles on earth. Once, A German adventurist went hiking in the jungle and he got lost. His body was found 5 months after. Bear Grylls was showing us how to survive successfully. He faced many challenges in the Jungle but he never gave up. He always says to himself “I can, I can” and that motivates him to his way of success. Without food, you will die. So he has to find something to eat. In this episode, he caught a snake and he ate it after he burned it. He tried to catch fishes but he failed. He tells us that Failure happens, just move on and make a new start. In every episode, he delivers us a message, the key of survival in the wild. You can live 3 minutes without oxygen. You can live 3 days without water. And you can live 3 weeks without food. There are no music effects in the show, which makes the show more serious and real. Bear Grylls is the only character in the show. But he’s not the only one who’s surviving in the wild; the cameraman is there with him too!
I think this show is a really good show, it is really exciting and we can see how he is going to survive in the wild, which is very interesting. And on the other hand, we can also learn techniques that would be useful for us in the future. I would like to watch other episodes of Man VS Wild. Not only by my own, but also share the excitement with my family too. I never tried living in the wild before; but I would like to try it since I’m a person who likes to try new things.
The person and experience in the show is real. Bear Grylls is really trying to survive in the wild by himself with no help. His dirtiness and wound is real, not manmade. But some people say that Man VS Wild is fake, well I don’t really believe so. It’s okay as long I like the show and I believe is real. Although some reality shows are scripted, I don’t think this one is. Because how could the environment be script? How can you tell the environment to do something? You’re not God right? So I believe this is real. This show is very popular, almost everyone has heard about Man VS Wild. Bear Grylls is a very successful person. This time, he survived in the Borneo Jungle and he found civilizations at the end. I like this episode very much and I am looking forward to watching the next one.

America’s Got Talent Stage 3 Program Review
This show is good to show, because there are many things
that people and the judges had never seen before. One Time their was a boy
called Turf 21 years old comes form San Francisco , He has been homeless for
two years, and he makes his living by dancing on
the streets. That day Turf went on the show and performs his own dance to the
judges and the audiences. First he did Moon-Walking on his tip-toes Slow-move then he
did some dangerous movement,
He flipped his limbs and Created a series of utterly bizarre shapes with his body. . I think Turf Performance is not suitable
for some elder people and some children, because they would say his moment was
horrible and don’t expect people would do.

America's Got Talent:
The TV program I watched on Saturday at 8:30 pm is America’s Got Talent. It’s a reality show where Americans go on the famous stage of AGT (America’s Got Talent) and showcase, of course, their talents. The whole progress takes a long time, and as the finalist compete, the one that gets picked on as the winner gets one million US dollars.
The episode I’ve just watched is the last in the audition stage, and the first set of competitors was already very bright. The three 8 year-old girls sang “Baby” by Justin Bieber. They got 2 yeses from two of the judges Sharon and Howie and a no from Peirce, the strict judge who loves to play on Howie. But the girls still get to go to Los Vegas for the real tournament as they get 2 yeses, and the other.
Another highlight was two elderly performing headstands and piano singing. The head stander was 67 and the piano singer was 81!
The previous episode was even more exciting. There were a rod swallower, an opera mother, an 11 year-old piano singer, a fat but really dance-y dude, and 8 and 13 year olds riding motorbikes inside a giant ball. Now that last bit was REALLY exciting and talented. All of those get to go to Los Vegas for the upcoming tournament, but others weren’t so lucky. They got either 2 or 3 no-s and they had to go home and can’t compete any longer.
My whole family watches this show together, and sometimes when we visit my granny on the time, my aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins watch with us too. It is truly an amazing (but sometimes gruesome) reality show for most ages, as younger ones might learn the dangerous acts. AGT is one of my favourite reality show. J
