Difficulty installing on Eclipse 3.4.1

Hi,

I am using Eclipse 3.4.. I successfully installed the hyperModel 3.1
UML for SOA and UML XML Schema. But when I tried to follow the How To
"How to Import XSD to UML" there was no Option anywhere that had
"Import XSD...". So I figured maybe I do need to install the RSM
versions too. But when I attempted that I got this:

Do I need the RSM plugins? If not, then how come the Import XSD...
option appears nowhere ( screenshot of where this is would help in the
How To)

Hi David,

 

You only need the RSM extensions if you are installing into IBM's Rational Software Modeler (RSM) tool.  And these extensions only add a minimal UI integration; no core transformation logic.

 

It looks like you have installed from only the 'xmlmodeling' project update site at sourceforge.  This included ONLY the UML profiles, and no plugins for transformation or UI.  The complete installation update site is at:

 

http://download.xmlmodeling.com/hyperModel/updates/site.xml

 

This should give you all that you need.
