Xbox Kinect

Hey guys this is my first group that I have ever joined so I am fairly
new to these online discussions. I just wanted to know what your guys
thoughts on the xbox kinect is. I think its a cool new feature to
navigate through your xbox dashboard and all that. I'm on the fence
about the games for the kinect though. I've seen a few trailers for
some and they look fun if your with some of your friends but not if
your playing solo. I also have the Wii and I enjoyed it a lot like the
first month I had it but after that I kind of just hated the controls
for the games so I'm wondering if the kinect is going to be any
different. Feel free to leave any comments you guys have.

For the most part, I have no interest in the kinect until they bring out some decent games for it.  For the most part I see it as an attempt to lure casual gamers and families towards the Xbox 360.   I don't think its worth 150 dollar price tag.  If it was 50 dollars I might get it.

I think that its a great thing! It gets players active without having
to go out and drop 200+ on a wii and it offers so much more. As far as
bolddoughnut's comment i totally agree. I think that they are
targeting a wider audience by bringing this technology to life. But i
think that its a really good thing. Now young children will have games
that they can play on there parents system without having to worry
about them seeing blood and obscene amounts of violence. And i know
what some people are gonna say. "Well then they need to go by a Wii!"
True as that may be like i said some people dont have that cash flow.
All this does is make the console that much greater. Im all for it and
will be getting it.

I wish I could be more excited for this, but as it is right now I'm not all that thrilled with motion control on the Wii ( I've come to dislike moving around to play video games) also that price point is a bit steep.
