Xbox 360 group restart?

Hi, I am bolddoughnut and I am sending this message out to everyone in
the group to see if there is a interest in restarting it? I am
willing to work on some bi daily news updates in all that is gaming
but I don't want to do it unless there is a interest. If there are
other people who would like to help please respond accordingly. If
you want emails about what is going on in the world of the 360 simply
reply with a yes. Please do not ignore this if you would like the
group to get restarted up!

Good timing, there are a lot of good things going on inthe world of gaming these days. I see a lot of steller titles coming out over the next few months and even these past months. Especially now since, in my opinion, the 360 has established dominance in the western gaming market.

Hey guys I just wanted to throw a head up to those of you that have not posted yet.  In order to keep spam from this group down to a minimum we have a new member moderation on replies.   This being said I have to approve your messages 5 times (I think) before the system allows you to instantly post.   While it is nothing personal against you its just that we need to keep the spammers out.    So please if you respond and it doesn't come up immediately be patient it will be there soon.

Well done!! Spam blocking would be much appreciated. Thats one of the main reasons I kept my postings and group activity to a minimum in the last group. The exception being when someone was asking for help or info on certain topics I'm knowledgeable about. If you need any assistance, I'm a mature gamer, fair and reasonable. Send me a note if things become too much for you to handle alone.

Will do, I moderate a few Bungie.net groups and I am currently working on a machinima (making videos using video games) support website with a few friends.... oh and there is college as well ;p.   Right now though there seems to be a good bit of interest but lets see if we can possibly get 4-5 more people out of the 1000 or so people that are signed up for the group.

I definitely understand how infectious spam is. I had a google group for a youth engagement committee and i kept getting porn sent to it unti l ittok over the replies. I would like to talk about what the purpose of the group is? I would love to talk about indie games as well as inovative games that most people, including myself miss.

Sounds good...and you sound busy. I'm sure there are a lot of other moderators on Bungie.net with the fanbase so that shouhld be a pretty easy gig. However, coordinating people to make machinima can be crazy on the mind, lots of headaches I'm sure, unless the group has experience. What game or game engine are you using for your machinima? I'm an old school gamer, heavy roots in PC gaming too. I know all the lingo. Love Battlefield based machinima.

This group is Xbox360 focused from my understand. There is a constantly growing Indie culture in the Xbox community. If you haven't noticed it yet, definitely check out some of the Indie games on there. There are some really good ones.

I run a small group called the Never Regret Clan (NRC).   For the most part I started it out as a place to make stupid videos and most of the video I have are not all that great.   Right now I am working on updating all of the hardware and software that I use to make videos so that I can make HD videos and have better sound quality.  I have 4 years of over all experience and have worked with Halo, Halo PC, Halo 2, Halo 3, and a little with Grand Theft Auto IV.   But when you go to college for film you don't really have time to work on side projects that involve film so I sort of left the account to die but I hope to bring it back this summer.   Luckily though I have a great crew and they are also busy this fall either going into college or simply applying to them so we all will be back later this year.   Other than that I run the group on Bungie.net called Lower The Guns which long story short is a group promoting weapon lowering on xbox live in all halo games and we hold occasional events to bring attention to it.   But were sort dead as well right now but a few people including me are going to try to pump some new life back into the group.   So yeah.... just a heads up to you guys I am a little bit of a fan boy for the Halo games but I do love other games such as Half Life, Call of Duty, and a bunch of other titles.

So, what do you guys want the group to be? Should this group discuss
what part of the expansive Xbox universe should the group focus on?
Should we make the group a debate group where we bring up a debatable
question and discuss it? Should we simply be a "these are the weekly
game releases group? Should we be all of the above? What do you
want out of this group?

I agree. Theres no reason not to do all of the above. Games are usually released on Tuesdays and sometimes Thursdays...averaging about five games a week over all platforms, most of the time games released are multiplatform. Throw in a weekly topic for discussion, plus general questions etc. I think as long as its somewhat structured and people stay on topic theres plenty to talk about to keep folks active and stimulate more participation.
