Can't Connect to Live Chat from Czech Republic

Wondering if anyone can help me find a way to connect to Live Chat
from the Czech Republic.
Shortly after purchasing an Xbox 360 and camera in Prague (where I
live) - partly for my wife to keep in touch with family in the States
and Japan - I found out that Xbox Live Chat/Gaming isn't supported in
the Czech Republic.
Why MS would sell a product (and online service) in a country it
doesn't support is beyond me. Any hacks out there?
