...speaking engagement. I asked him how he got started into writing,
and he indicated that you helped him greatly early on in his career. My
question is, do you currently sell or try to sell humor type books? I
like writing humor, so I was wondering, and he seems to be doing well.

He's very kind to remember the small amount of help I gave him. He's
doing so well because he's quite talented, of course. Bobbie and I
enjoy helping writers, especially new authors. We can't help too many
people one-on-one because of time constraints, so we give lots of
seminars and have this online forum, plus our websites, to help the
others.

Yes, we do currently represent humor books, and have one client now who
writes humor.

This is Bobbie answering.

On the www.aboutwords.org Website, you'll find the following note:
"About Words Agency is looking for commercial fiction and nonfiction.
We are NOT interested in representing poetry, religious/Christian, or
true-crime."

Yes, Susan's agency handles humor, but only she can respond regarding
whether she's trying to sell any at the moment.

I remember Ed Williams. His book had a catchy title, something about
Sex and Dead Dogs. I do not think I actually edited the book, but I'm
glad to hear he's still getting out there and speaking. He does have a
great sense of humor.
