WUaS Open Course Ware - High School in autumn 2012

Minute: Continue to look for good, first course for World Univ & Sch
to offer for credit in the autumn of 2012, looking toward 1st
matriculating Bachelor's class in 2014.
Possibly Scott's course “Information Technology and Society”





2 Chatham


WUaS has to collectively decide what WUaS can offer … $3,000 is what
Chatham pays for a course

WUaS needs a deliverable focus


sustainability (agriculture) – food science; remedial math; remedial
english

eventual undergraduate and graduate foci

Minute: In subsequent conversation with Larry, WuaS's Chatham liaison
he suggested taking this off the planning process



3 Membership

Minute: WUaS is seeking to develop a membership base, especially of
countries, and companies, as well individuals, as a form of financial
development.



4 Accreditation

Dan offered to invite Jim Leontis to a meet and share ideas about
starting Peninsula Law School, as well as accreditation.
Minute: Scott will summarize guidelines from WASC Senior for its 3
stage process at the next meeting in February.




5 Finance & Budget

Larry suggested we spend the monies WUaS on

1 airfare to MIT in January 2012

2 previous WUaS business trip to Chatham and Friends Fiduciary in
September 2011

3 a small amount to Scott for expenses


Minute: Scott will get Larry receipts from these two WUaS business
trips

Concerning fees to pay potential instructors: what Chatham pays is one
guide.



Fundraising
Minute: Scott follow up with contributor from family trust about the
possibility of this trust, or a group of friends, giving to target
specific WUaS goals such as accreditation.
