Greetings from Lake Atitlan!

We’ve arrived at one of the most beautiful spots in Central America
and will be calling the lakeside town of San Pedro home for a few
days. I write to you from the rooftop of Hospedaje Buenas Nuevas,
looking out over the sparkling lake backed by imposing volcanic
mountains. Maybe we’ll conjure up the energy to climb one.

Since we last left you in southern Mexico, we buzzed through Belize
and are now torturing ourselves in Guatemala’s highlands. Either this
is some of the toughest cycling on the planet or we’re really out of
shape.
