Hello Everybody and Happy Summer!

Between catching up with friends and family in Europe, getting the
bikes back into shape and gearing up for the ride across the Americas,
we’ve been very busy this past month.
The last few days before flying out of Frankfurt were hectic, but we
somehow managed not to miss the flight and arrived in New York safe
and sound. Although we’ve only been in the US for about 10 days,
we’ve already had our share of adventures. You can read all about our
run-ins with the cops and our first taste of American hospitality in
our latest update:

Our site has expanded and there’s a new Resources Section that will be
helpful to anyone planning a cycling tour. Please check it out and
let us know if there’s anything else you’d like us to add.

We’ve also got a new comments feature at the end of the update, so you
can get in contact easier. We would love to hear from you, so please
take the time to write a short note. Many thanks to all of you who
wrote to congratulate us on our return to France. It really made us
feel good to know we have so many loyal followers.

You can also follow us on Twitter to see what we’re up to while we’re
on the road:

Fundraising for World Bicycle Relief is off to a pretty good start.
These are tough economic times and we really appreciate the donations
that people have made to our fundraising page. Giving a bike to
someone in need is a simple and effective way to help relieve poverty
and we are impressed with what World Bicycle Relief has already
accomplished. You can find out more about WBR and make a donation
here:

Now that we’ll be traveling through a more developed part of the world
with easy internet access, our plan is to go to twice monthly
updates. That means you can expect to hear from us in another couple
of weeks.
Wishing all of you in the northern hemispheres a fun and adventurous
summer and lots of good cycling weather.

Thanks for your support!

Amaya and Eric
