Hello everyone!
Our computer people are upgrading to a "new" windows platform, Windows 7, (for warranty, security, networking and compatibility reasons), anyway is anyone using CMM in the Win 7 environment?? If so what problems did you need to overcome and how? Thank you in advance.

FYI & FWIW:
I run Ron Hamilton's Windows Version of CMM (wcmm) in XP Mode on my Win 7 64-bit machine without difficulty.

And for getting the data from my HP200 I use Total Commander with an added plugin, HPLX by Pavel Zampach. Because the plugin is 32-bit, the version of Total Commander also needs to be 32-bit.

Thanks Kelly!!! For what its worth we are still using the HP 48 with the SMI data collection package, made by Stanley Trent, and using a conversion utility created by Ray Hintz formerly from the University of Maine Orono, to convert SMI to LSA. It wouldn't be fair for not mentioning the support of Kurt Wurm NMU and Ron Hamilton BLM for CMM07, including you and the others for the continued support. The program Has been working for us 25 years, from DOS 3.0, Windows 95, 97, XP and hopefully Windows 7.

Happy Holidays :-)

You're very welcome :)

BTW, as far as I know, Ray is still teaching at UMO.

Also be aware that the “XP Mode” is only in the “professional” “Enterprise” and “Ultimate” versions of Windows 7.   (it is not in the stripped down “home user edition”
