I want to create a shortcut on my desktop. The application will only
run with IE and my default browser is firefox. Is there anyway I can
force IE to load my app?

Thanks...

yes, create a launcher on your desktop to invoke ie and pass the name of the
app to ie that way, so if the application is at /path/app.html, the command
line would look like "ieX (where X is the version number) /path/app.html" and
you'd embed this in the launcher properties. It would be useful to know what
OS version oyu have if you want more precise instructions.

Let us think the unthinkable, let us do the undoable, let us prepare to
grapple with the ineffable itself, and see if we may not eff it after all.

Thanks for the response. Yah, I would appreciate more help.

I'm using Vista on one system and XP-Pro on the other. I'd like put
this short cut on both systems..

Thanks again...

Type it exactly like this:

iexplore.exe http://the.link.to.server.net/path/file.html

(using the appropriate path and filename of course)

Thanks. I've got it to work.

iexplore.exe in is not in my classpath so I had to add the so I had to
add the absolute path to IE.

Now it's working..

Thanks again...
