Hi Gang!

Tim and I are looking over our schedule and want to get the
kitchenette installed within a week. We could have used the conference
area a handful of times already so really want to get it done. Wanting
to check in with y'all's schedule to get this room up and running,
while still having fun:)

Here's a list of the things that need to get done that I can think of.
Please add to or edit this list so we can all pitch in getting it
done:

- Finish painting: Katie and Heidi did the bulk of it...trim around
top is all that needs to be done.

- Refinish Cabinets: We were able to get cabinets donated (and a
second fridge). They're not all that nor are all of them going to be
used...perhaps only the single door ones that are in the room. I would
like distress the doors and front frames...would like some advise from
someone that has distressed cabinets before:) This can be done before
(preferred) or after the cabinets are installed.

- Furniture assembly: Think it wise to wait till all the handy work
and cleaning is done before opening and assembling all the pieces.

- Cleaning: Once all the painting is done a good cleaning of the room
is called before all the furniture and cabinets go in.

- Decorating: Now the fun part...putting it all together.

What is left in the budget? Has everyone that wishes to use the room
donated to the cause? Katie- can you post a list of those who gave you
a donation. We will probably need a little of it to buy brackets and
fasteners for the kitchenette assembly, but other than that, what else
is need to complete the room?

Hey All,

I finished Painting for the most part last night. If anyone else
see's some spots left please feel free to finish.
I would love to finish cleaning the lounge today. Any Takers?

Also I think we only need one fridge in the room not two. Its a pretty
small space. If everyone agrees, I think we do not need personal
fridges in there.

I like the cabinets, I am just having a hard time visualizing the
finished product. Luly and Tim let me know if you need help on this.
Remember that we are all looking for a streamline look that flows. I
am sure they will look good when they are put together. Also do you
guys mind putting the white table back. I plan on trying to finish the
room today/tonight. Thanks so much.

Thanks to All who contributed. We had in our pot a total of $ 295

This is what we spent our mula on.

Lowes - $62 Paint, pole, supplies
Ikea - $ 184 Table, 4 chairs, rug, 2 lamps
Target - $40.91 hooks, curtain rod, curtains

Total - $287

Tim and I will get the kitchen together once I get over the flu. Tim can't do it on his own. If someone can give him a hand later to move the table back....we had a meeting last friday and needed the additional surface space. We had planed to get get it done over the weekend but my body had other plans.

We have the space to place both fridges under the counter. One can be used for beverages and the other for lunches; toper ware takes up most of the space and larger, more economical beverage bottles need height so we can take out most of the shelves in one. We can see how this works out and if one is empty most of the time I can always bring it back home.

We're going for simple and clean with the look of the kitchenette so no worries there.

Hope to be back in full swing by week's end.

Also, please leave a paint bucket in the room so we can do any touch ups after we install the cabinets and counter.

Thanks Katie. I can clean the room tonight. I've been working long hours on deadlines at present so it will be something like 9 tonight. Coincidentally I have my vacuum cleaner in my car today!

I have put the table back in the LOUNGE. Thank you , Ms. Kate, for using
the two upper cabinets that were left over. We still need to find a home
(Habitat most likely) for the remaining sink base and lower drawer unit.
I have a piece of black granite that is 25" x 58" that we are planning
on using as the counter- I need my erstwhile partner Luly help to get it
in here and up the stairs. We will do that as soon as possible, and it
shouldn't take more than an hour to do the actual installation.

Tim, I can help with that if it's just a matter of needing another body
to get it up the stairs.
