Frederic MooreFZS (May 13, 1830–May 10, 1907) was a Britishentomologist and assistant curator in the East India Company Museum, London. He continued until the museum was disbanded in 1879. He began compiling Lepidoptera indica (1890–1913), a major work on the butterflies of the South Asia in 12 volumes, which was completed after his death by Charles Swinhoe.
