Hey guys!

This woman is making my head spin. I am normally over in the
EuroAristo group but was working on closer in, direct ancestry and
came upon this woman.

MY Ancestor, Marie Prower married John Martin and the profiles below
seem to mix and match her with a Marie Prower who married a
Christopher Martin. The dating of her on my profile seems sketchy and
I cant find sourcing at the moment but after several net searches Im
STILL mixed on whether she is the same woman or not... so I came here.
Apparently there IS a Marie Prower Martin who married Christopher
Martin that was on the mayflower... but I am not certain, again, if
these are the same women... Can anyone help?

I think some of the relationships in those profiles are a bit messed
up. For example, Prower-5 has Prower as her maiden name, and Solomon
Prower as her brother, when he was actually her son. And Prower-13 has
way more kids than Mary was supposed to have, according to
http://www.mayflowerhistory.com/Passengers/passengers.php

Assuming that site is accurate, it doesn't look like Mary Prower ever
married a John Martin. It seems like her maiden name is unknown, and
she married someone named Prower, who died, and then she married
Christopher Martin, with whom she went on the Mayflower. She had a son
from her first marriage, Solomon Prower, who was also on the
Mayflower. So I'd say that there are two different Mary Prowers.

Lindsay, are you sure your ancestor was on the Mayflower? I don't see
anyone named John Martin on the passenger list.

The only Prower on the Mayflower was Solomon Prower, a servant of Christopher Martin (his stepfather), and he died ïn the first infection, not long after arrival".

This Christopher Martin of Billericay, Essex, married 26 February 1606/7 a Mary Prower, widow of a Mr. Prower. She died in Plymouth the first winter. He died in Plymouth 8 January 1620/1.

They had one child, Nathaniel Martin, baptized 26 February 1609/10 who apparently remained in England. This from Robert Charles Anderson's The Pilgrim Migration.

No, I am pretty sure my John Martin was NOT on the Mayflower... I am a
dork and WANT a mayflower passenger ancestor, but not willing to get
one by misguided info, lmao...

I just thought maybe his wife possibly was later, as WikiTree profiles
were indicating, except that she would have married two Martins,
etc... thats why I came here in case someone knew more about her.

On another note, Prower was a servant of his stepfather, wtheck? LOL

I did note that on some site it said the Martin/Prower line died so I
figured I would not be alive if that were true and these were my
ancestors... HA!

Thanks for the feedback, yall.
