I just caught myself up on reading all the discussion posts in this
group, so I think I'm more or less up to speed now. :)

I see that there's a Mayflower Passengers category (http://
www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Mayflower_Passengers) and a Mayflower
Families category (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/
Category:Mayflower_Families). The Mayflower Families page says that it
is an extension of the Mayflower Passengers category, so does that
mean we're primarily using the Mayflower Families category now?

We should also have a list of who is working on which profiles. I can
see from the discussions that Becky has worked on Edward Fuller,
William Bradford, and Richard Warren. Great work, Becky! If everyone
could post the passengers/families they'd like to work on the merging
for, I'll start a WikiTree page with a list to help us keep track.

Don't hesitate to email me, or post here, if you need help, or if you
need me to open up profiles, etc. I'm here to help! :)

I've created a page with a list of the Mayflower passengers here: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Mayflower_Passengers

So far only 4 passengers have been claimed by group members, so there are still plenty to choose from!

My wife is a direct descendant of them.

As a quick aside to show what genealogy can reveal I have determined that I follow the 1605 son of an ancestor and my wife follows the 1622 daughter of the same ancestor.

I am happy to manage any of the Allertons or Brewsters that are not
yet claimed by anyone else. I couldn't really tell fromt he list if
Michael was managing all of the Brewsters, or just William.

Hi Kathy and Heather: I put you down for the Mayflower passengers you mentioned: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Mayflower_Passengers.

Something to keep in mind is that you can always collaborate on profiles; that's pretty much what this group is for! So just because someone else has already "claimed" a Mayflower passenger, that doesn't mean you can't work on it too. Two heads are better than one!

Liane,
I see someone has taken the management of Richard Warren, my ancestor.
Please put me down for Stephen Hopkins and John Howland, my husband's
forebears. As a State and national officer of the Society of Mayflower
Descendants, I also have access to "approved" lines for all the
passengers.

I also would be happy to align profiles according to most recent
research for these early immigrants: Edward Dorsey (1619-1649), Thomas
Prather (1604-1666), Thomas Willoughby (1601-1658), and Haute Wyatt
(1594-1638)  of VA; Thomas Sprigg (1630-1704), John Nuthall (d 1667),
and John Redman (d 1673) of VA and MD; James Veatch (1628-1685) of MD;
Capt. John Rush (1620-1699) of PA; John Winthrop (1588-1649), Thomas
Dudley (1576-1653), Nathaniel Dickinson (1601-1679), Thomas Dickinson
(d 1669) [a different Dickinson family entirely] of MA; and Ensign
Gerard Spencer (1614-1685) of CT; as well as "witches" Lydia Gilbert
(d 1654 CT) and Rebecca (--) (Elsen) (Mudge) Greensmith (d 1663 CT).

I have been lurking for awhile, but wnted to chime in that I'd help
with any of the passengers in my profiles. I know that I share the
Hopkins line with Kathy, so if you would like help, Kathy, let me
know. I am still trying to navigate some lines that are all crazy to
see who else I may be useful for. I know we share the Fullers, too,
Becky, so if you need help there, I can whittle away on that one, too.
Great work so far, everybody!
