Hi EuroAristos,

If you haven't already seen it yet, I asked this question in G2G and
there's been some lively discussion:
"Should anyone be able to add themselves to the Trusted List of an
Open profile?"
http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/3948/should-anyone-able-add-themselves-trusted-list-open-profile

Roger brought up EuroAristo-experience-based concerns about merging,
since anyone on a Trusted List can complete a merge.

This motivated me to finally get around to doing something Lindsay and
others have asked for repeatedly: A prohibition on merging
lower-numbered IDs into higher-numbered IDs. This wasn't as hard as I
expected. It's now live, along with some other tweaks to the merge
form. Let me know if you notice any bugs with it.

Onward and upward,

Chris

it also let's you change parents and family... so that's scary to me... theory would be that someone cares about the profile if they add themselves to trusted list... but that doesn't mean they do out have and idea... prime example is the other day someone changed the parents on john of gaunt... whose parents are not really disputed and the new parents were really random... i know this isa rare case but... have to bring it up...

also maybe the name should change since anyone who thinks they should be trusted is automatically trusted, lol

Roger has been convincing me that we will need a lock-down ability,
i.e. enable Supervisors to lock profiles from being merged-into in the
same way we lock them from being merged-away.

I know you said you can't get on G2G now. There's been a thread on
that from Martyn.

Long story.

If you've got a better name for Trusted Lists ...
