“Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) & Hyderabad Bicycling Club (HBC) have taken up a major initiative for promoting Cycling in a big way in our city. Under this, the State Government has agreed to throw open one side of the Necklace Road for cycling every morning between 5 to 7 am. GHMC would be giving HBC storage & operational space for keeping bicycles & operating the above initiative. Further through sponsorship and with the support of GHMC, HBC would be keeping about 100 bicycles with helmets for the usage of the cycling enthusiasts. HBC has already ordered 100 new bikes which include Hybrid, MTB, Kid bikes & Tandem Bikes along with helmets to be positioned at Necklace Road . Who doesn’t have childhood memories of cycling with friends? Cycling, a fun and healthy way of maintaining a fit lifestyle, continues to be close to the hearts of many of us. However, a hectic daily routine and lack of time to devote to our passions keep many away from riding. Here’s a chance for you to relive the joy of cycling!

BiCyclone Hitting Twin Cities
We would be launching this great initiative in a befitting manner on Sunday the 18th March, 2012. The above prestigious event viz., Brace yourself for the BiCyclone hitting the twin cities, would be flagged off by our Honorable Chief Minister Shri Kiran Kumar Reddy. There would be a 10 km ride on that day around the Hussain Sagar lake. A number of Senior Officials, Industrialists, CEOs & Film Stars already confirmed their participation. Through this event, we aim at bringing out all the cycling enthusiasts to come & ride on the Necklace Road and give a big thrust to the cycling movement in our city.
What Should I do ?
Hurry! join Hyderabad Bicycling Club online on www.joinhbc.in and register for the above event on our meetup site. There are no fees involved for the 18th March morning ride On the other hand we would give you a tee shirt, first aid kit and a snack pack in addition to water & bananas enroute during the ride. Become a proud member of HBC which already has over 1750 members & vigorously working towards promoting cycling in a big way in our city.
Now what are you waiting for? Take out your cycle, even if it is old, for the ride on 18th Morning at 6 30 am. Involve your family members & friends. Please spread the word from your side and ensure the participation of a large number of cyclists on their cycles in our above prestigious flag off on 18th March, 2012.
