Dear '79ers:

Did you get the news that my sister (Judy) helped get a big grant for
Westtown for a 34.65 kilowatt photovoltaic array (solar panels) on the
roof of the new Athletic Center!?

In the spirit of Being Green, here is a way to get rid of wasteful
credit card solicitation junk mail.

I thought I'd send something useful in addition to posting another
round of kid pics ;)

Just call 1-888-5-opt-out (1-888-567-8688) or go to: www.optoutprescreen.com.

It really works!

Also, here is how to keep telemarketers out of your dinner table
conversation:

...And while you're at it, to avoid even more junk mail,

Just write "no" to:

Mail Preference Service
Direct Marketing Association
PO Box 9008
Farmingdale, NY 11735

Telephone Preference Service
Direct Marketing Association
PO Box 9014
Farmingdale, NY 11735

Warmly,

Dan Nick

Thanks! Much appreciated.  Here is a free opt-out catalog website that is also trying to save some trees.  It works, as well.
Happy Holidays!

But I want pictures...

Speaking of green, I start work at the North Carolina chapter of The Nature Conservancy on Jan. 7.  I'll be Associate Director of Philanthropy.

I apologize for my delay in sharing with you-all our wonderful news that we have added a new baby girl to our family.  On November 28th, my wife Fay delivered Elizabeth Furnas Savage, a 7 pound, 6 ounce redhead.  Sorry if she exceeds your MB limit...we’re calling her Betty,

Historians will remember that Samantha (#1) looked almost precisely like this on her birthday too:

Lorna (#3) too, was very consistent:

May (#2), however, was a beautiful outlier:

I need to find-out more about Judy’s solar PV deal – That’s what Ben Hartman and I spend all our time doing (along with diaper changing).  Love, Savage

Congratulations, Paul. What a beautiful clan. With
just one on our hands -- and what a wonderful handful
Andrej is at 2 1/2 -- I am in awe of all you people
who can handle village-sized families.

love to all,

Steve
