It’s been a while since there’ve been any postings, either heated or cool!
We were talking about financial turmoil at one point, elections and the ongoing military adventures in the middle east.
The war isn’t only a moral issue. Anyway, it’s about impossible to win an argument about ethics without getting into muddy waters.
But economics hits Republican and Democrat, believer and non-believer, urban and suburbanites with similar impact.
Here’s what I see:
Since the Iraq invasion, you need four times the dollars to buy a house, three times the dollars to fill a gas tank, about three times more to buy an ounce of gold.
Does anyone know if any other commodities have risen as much?
Has anyone on list been hit especially hard?
