1) Victory!!!! I'm so proud of each and everyone of you for helping out this election!!! Whether you gave an hour or two, tried to convince friends to vote NDP, or even just voted yourself --- It all added up to a great victory for the NDP. We WON 9 NEW SEATS across the country for a total of 37. We even won a seat in Alberta right under Stephen Harper's nose (I feel very happy about that). So job well done WNDers!!!!!!!
2) We have another quick election to take care of for UWO Board of Governors. Don't worry though this one will take you 30 seconds max to complete online.
The club met with Chris Sinal, one of the BOG canidates, at our last meeting and decided to endorse his campaign. Chris will be a strong progressive voice on the board of governors and has an impressive track record including serving a term as USC President.
The other canidate, Nick Pozhke, is a Conservative Party executive and from personal experience I can say he is quite partisan and will not be open to helping pass progressive policy.
I urge you to vote for Chris SINAL at www.voteusc.ca The poll is open now and closes at 8
