My name is Jan Calvin, I live in Tallahassee, Fl. with 2 dogs, 4 yr
old Georgia and Bear both Pembroke Welsh Corgis. I retired 3 years ago
after teaching elementary school for 32 years. Phone 850-877-3636
I also do rescue with the local Humane Society http://lchs.info/ and
currently have two, a hound mix and blue weim, both males. I have been
training dogs since 1976. I am a member of the Weimaraner Club of
America, Ochlockonee River Kennel Club (Tallahassee), Tallahassee Dog
Obedience Club I have been a member of TDOC since 1977 and served as
training director from 1989-1995 and 1996-1997. http://www.tdoclub.org/
and Canopy Roads Crew, UKC agility, obedience and rally.
My first dog was a mix - black golden - 'Caesar', Fritz (weim) escaped
from the animal shelter and moved into my yard. I tried to chase him
out and called the shelter to come get him, decided he needed to live
with me. He was an intact adult when adopted-quickly changed. I had
Fritz for 10 years, put down after treating pneumonia for 3 weeks. I
have had 2 Weims from Marlene Judd. Streak was 13 months when he
bloated. I had Pete [Ch Moonshines He-Man CDX, NRD, V] 9 1/2 years
when he bloated. Starfire’s It’s A Wonderful Life RN, Bailey,
1999-2009
I have also owned:
6 Pembroke Welsh Corgis; Sarah McDuffy's Sweet Ginger CDX 1981-1989
(renal failer) She was shown in Utility only once before she died.
McLeah's
McDuffy of Calvin CD (renal failure-Ginger's sire) 12 years, Garvin’s
Precious Callie CDX 1989-2004 and Tifflyn Plays It Again CD, Bogie
1992-2007 and Georgia and Bear.
2 GSD; I adopted (from 5 o'clock traffic) Kera Calvin CD who lived
with me for 10 years and Noel [Black Magic’s Merry Noel CD] adopted
when a friend died.
I also have fostered 8 Greyhounds for Katherine Crawford. I kept
Annie, who was Pete's best friend.
Bailey had tummy tack surgery at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists
(Orange Park, Fl.).

so my name is eileen ingala and i have owned weimaraners since 1974.
we've done many different events with our dogs - show, obedience,
ratings, hunt tests, and our current passion: field trials

since i've been around a while i'm sure i would have some knowledge or
information that members could take advantage of and on the flip side
i can always learn something new.

tom and i live on a 100 acre property in western ky and work out of
our house -

our current dogs are: holly (will be 13 on 4/5), her son, hunter, the
3 legged dog, who was 8 last november, and now genie, 6 mos old.
genie is holly's granddaughter and hunter's daughter and right now
she's moaning and groaning wanting to get out of her crate.

i think i've covered it all.

i'm glad i'm here also. just last night there were 5 (count 'em 5)
obscene emails to the yahoo list. i think we've all put up with that
junk long enough.

When I signed up it asked me how I wanted to get e-mails.  I said individually to my mailbox and that's how I'm getting them.  I take it you've got yours sorted  out?  Yay!

Now, let's see if this group accepts photos.  I'm attaching one of the chain-link fence around the dog yard.  Snow can almost make chain link pretty!
