Hello All,

I have been using WE6 for a website of mine for the last little while
and have had no problems, until now. I made a small change to the
text, and then uploaded the web site again and a few of my pictures
have turned into boxes with blue/white stripes in them. When I opened
WE6, a little box came up indicating that the location of the pics
could not be found and I clicked on a button to automatically find/
repair the pics. After pushing this button, all of my pictures
appeared. I have made numberous attempts to reload it, but each time,
the website still shows blue/white stripes where the pictures should
be. Any ideas?

Thanks,

John

Hi John,
The same thing happened to me after I imported my site built in WE-5
into WE-6. V-Com has a fix for it on there website. However I found
there were to many other problems so I rebuilt my entire website in
WE-6 and had no problems after that. If your site was built in WE-5
and you imported it into WE-6 you may want to look at either
rebuilding your site entirely WE-6 or at least going to V-COM's site
and downloading the file for the fix. Hope this helps. Good Luck

I don't know why this happens and know it is an issue - when I see
that initial box indicating some pics can't be found I click out of
the program and come back in and all will be fine most times it seems
to be a glitch. Now that your pictures have reappeared I am not sure
why the website is showing up without them. Have you saved your work
with the pictures re loaded? I would try saving and then try to
publish again. Otherwise you may want to delete and re insert the
pictures? At least try this with one picture and see if it works?

Sorry for your issue hope this helps. Maybe someone else will have a
better suggestion also!

this has been mentioned a lot in these forums, its caused by the
graphics that you have
used being moved to another location on your hardrive.
If you use a photo in your webpage that you have in 'my pictures'
& then move it to your desktop for example then the next time you load
Webeasy it won't
be able to find it!
Unlike 'normal' programmes of this type it doesn't store your
pictures automatically
within the Webeasy folder so if you move or delete any then it will
show them as missing
& altho they are still on your drive it is incapable of finding them.
The answer is to create a folder & put everything you want for your
website into it
& then drag them onto your pages, make sure that you dont move any of
them after
& when you save your site make sure its to your named folder

I have had this happen when I am certain no pictures have moved
locations on my hard drive. I was just uploading some new photos and
it said it couldn't find some older pics. I had saved my work so I
cancelled out came back into the program and all was fine.

Hello J Trucking,
If anyone's interested you can "fix" this problem by using the Webeasy
search for missing files feature. You will receive a prompt from the
program when it can't find a file. You check the lower box that asks
begin searching from this location. You then select search. When your
target picture shows in the image screen ( you see a miniature of the
picture you are searching for) then select "fix." Every once in a
while this happens to me. I'm managing about 1500 images in the
program and it does get confused.
