FOSS.my 2009 is Malaysia’s premier Free and Open Source Software
(FOSS) event. FOSS.my 2009 is our second conference bringing together
Open Source professionals and enthusiasts from Malaysia, Southeast
Asia and the rest of the world for a two day grassroots FOSS
conference.

FOSS.my is different from other events in that we focus only on Free
Open Source Software and that this conference is purely non-
commercial. There will be no marketing/sales talks by vendors (we are
very strict on this!) so all that is presented is in FOSS goodness!
Instead, vendors is encouraged to speak on the FOSS technical aspects
of their projects, software or tools. This approach works better as it
benefits everyone through knowledge sharing with the community.

FOSS.my welcome and look forward to your participation in knowledge
sharing and encouraging others to use and contribute in the Free Open
Source Software movement. You may wish to talk at the conference, or
you may wish to run a side session (such as a BoF). No worries! As
long as your participation is in the following areas, we will be happy
to hear from you:

- Free Open Source Software technology & projects
- Open standards
- The community
- Education
- Open Source Businesses
- Licensing

Area of interests that would be very very interesting to developers:

- Google Wave & Wave API development. This is a super spicy hot topic,
considering the amount of requests received.
- Android. The FOSS technical aspects behind the software stack.
- Google Chrome OS. Developers would really want to know is the story
behind the product & the idea behind it.

The Call for Participation ends on 15th August 2009.

You can submit your proposal here: http://foss.my/2009/call-for-participation/

Looking forward for your participation with FOSS.my 2009!
