Opportunities to Take Action

Thought I'd start this thread as a place for people to advertise outside opportunities they become aware of that might interest the members of this coalition.

Here's an opportunity for political advocacy that has to with diversity and inclusion. 

As you know, Trump recently appointed Stephen Bannon as his chief strategist, a known white-supremacist and alt-right media leader. Here's an article that CNN published yesterday about how white nationalists reacted to this appointment and how it signals a willingness of the Trump administration to follow through on anti-minority policies. http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/14/politics/white-nationalists-on-bannon/

A simple way to take action is to call local representatives and ask them to denounce Bannon (a number of senators and representatives have already done this). This is a way to show that there are public voices against this appointment and that we as a community support minorities and diversity.
