Family Law Paralegal (Washington State)

Skellenger Bender, P.S. seeks an experienced Paralegal to join our dynamic Family Law practice group.

This is a full-time non-exempt position, fully remote work located in Washington state (subject to change depending on management decisions). All employees are required to be up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations.

Our Family Law Paralegals assist attorneys with cases from start to finish. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Screening prospective clients
• Assisting with the drafting of pleadings
• Communicating with clients, opposing counsels’ offices, and the court
• Assisting with discovery, filing, and serving cases
• Calendaring and various administrative tasks while accurately recording billable and non-billable time spent and tasks performed in accordance with the firm’s policy

Applicants should possess at least 3 years of solid civil litigation experience, knowledge of applicable Washington and local court rules, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong time-management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. ProLaw experience is a plus!
