SUPERIOR COURT VACANCY

COURT COMMISSIONER

 

Spokane County Superior Court is accepting applications to fill the position of Superior Court Commissioner.  All applicants must have been admitted to the practice of law in the State of Washington for five years and must be members in good standing of the Washington State Bar Association.  Per Court policy, a thorough criminal background investigation will be conducted on all applicants.  Applicants are strongly urged to divulge complete criminal history information.

 

Salary app.:  $172,693.65/yr. plus excellent benefits effective July 1, 2022.  To apply, submit a Spokane County Employment Application, the Superior Court Commissioner Supplemental Questionnaire, and the Washington State Bar Association Release of Information/Confirmation of Citizenship form.    These forms may be obtained on the court’s website at:  http://www.spokanecounty.org/1140/Superior-Court or by contacting the court administrator at 509 477-4401.

 

While this position is anticipated to be long-term, changes in funding or Court needs may require reconsideration of the position.  This is an at-will position subject to annual performance reviews.

 

It is anticipated this Court Commissioner position will be handling all dockets and assignments currently heard by Court Commissioners which include family law, paternity, child support, probate, guardianship/conservatorship, involuntary treatment act, criminal, juvenile offender, dependency and BECCA hearings.
