Enforcement to stop trucks on 216 south of 88

Good Afternoon Neighbours!

I need your help  !  

Some time ago I presented our petition asking for enforcement to stop non local trucks on this stretch of residential road to Mayor Woodward. 275 signed 

He then referred the issue to Councillor Martens as she has police experience. She indicated police were unable  to observe many trucks here . She said she needs more data to establish a pattern.

The pattern we are observing at our home is more trucks at rush hours. You ?

Our family community has three issues: safety , air and noise pollution. 

Safety is a huge concern as this stretch of road has a posted speed of 50 k even though there is an elementary school which also serves as a neighborhood playground. 

Trucks have many blind spots & cannot stop quickly especially at 50 k ! Unless our Township is proactive it is simply a matter of time before an accident/ fatality occurs . 

With the road so close to schools and homes trucks which are heavy polluters create a huge huge health concern especially to children. 

As you know there should have been a buffer zone not a wall to ensure our safety, health and peace . Guidelines we’re ignored. 

216 is the ONLY interchange in Metro Vancouver funneling into a residential neighborhood. 

Please help by emailing mayorc...@tol.ca to request enforcement to stop trucks on this stretch of road .
