To all World Youth Day pilgrims,

 

     I myself have experienced "anti-Catholic" propaganda that hides behind a "Catholic" cloak from the World Youth Day in Germany last 2005 . Flyers that say "good catholics use condoms" were being given and accepted by our youth ignorantly.   Please feel free to forward to any Catholic or pilgrim attending the World Youth Day. But most importnat of all, let's take time to learn the beauty of our faith's teaching regarding sexuality.

 

     When in Sydney, you happen to pass by people giving away flyers claiming that they are Pro-Choice (i.e pro contraception, abortion, same-sex marriage, pre-marital  sex etc), ask for more flyers if not all the ones they are holding  (to be ready for the trash bin later) to prevent them being passed on to your fellow youths who are yet to understand what we believe in as Catholics.

I just got this today from Catholic Answers.  This is one of their projects...apparently at every World Youth Day for the past 15 years, a lot of non-Catholic "Catholic" organizations band together to assail the youth that attend.  Short read, very informative, and Catholic Answers is, I believe, a very good organization to support periodically.

        I apologize for showing it to you. It's a picture of a condom packet like the ones that homosexual activists will be distributing by the thousands to Catholic students at the upcoming World Youth Day in Sydney, Australia.

        Blasphemous and infuriating.

        Not only are they assuming that Catholic students who attend World Youth Day are having promiscuous, premarital sex—but they're encouraging it by passing out condoms.

        The devil knows how to get to our youth. And he's using the radical homosexuals to do his dirty work.

 

        Homosexual activists, who were highly visible at the previous World Youth Day held in Germany in 2005, called themselves "Homosexuals and Church"—and they widely distributed condoms … as well as gay pornography and literature that suggests being a practicing homosexual, bisexual, or lesbian is "okay with God"—not a sin as the Church has always taught.

        They're going to be at World Youth Day in Sydney, too—which is just around the corner.

        Also in attendance will be the shameful "Catholics For a Free Choice." This deceptive but well-funded organization will run its extensive advertising campaign during World Youth Day in Sydney—just as it's done during the previous two World Youth Days in Canada and Germany.

        It pays for expensive billboards on busy highways and subway terminals, with signs such as the one below …

 

        As you can see, the tag line says, "Good Catholics Use Condoms."

        CFFC even started a special project called "Condoms 4 Life" (to mock the pro-life message).

        And it's what our Catholic youth will be facing when they go to see the Pope at World Youth Day in July.

        In fact, our Catholic youth are facing a "one-two punch."

        On one hand, there will be the homosexual activists promoting the "gay rights" agenda, and then there will be the radical anti-Catholics—who always descend upon World Youth Day like birds of prey.

        How do I know this?

        Because this is exactly what the anti-Catholics have done at every World Youth Day for fifteen years now—since 1993.

They print slick propaganda pieces designed to look like Catholic
literature, if you judge by the covers. They hand these pamphlets out

by the thousands to unsuspecting Catholic youth.
 

        But inside is the worst anti-Catholic propaganda you've ever seen.

        Using clever but deceptive arguments for which the anti-Catholics are famous, these slick propaganda pieces get the reader to doubt many of our most important Catholic beliefs and practices, such as . . .

        * the Eucharist       * the Mass           * the papacy

        * the priesthood     * confession         * Marian beliefs

        * purgatory            * the rosary          * the nature of salvation           

        I need your help to put in place a proper defense strategy which will counteract the immorality, confusion, lies, distortions, and deceptions that will be rife at World Youth Day.

        Any time you have swarms of Catholic students in one place, there are bound to be tens-of-thousands that aren't well-catechized and don't have a proper understanding of the issues.

        Thus, they're highly vulnerable to slick propaganda—not only from anti-Catholic Protestants and dissident Catholics, but this time from the radical homosexual activists too.

        Therefore, Catholic Answers is once again going into action to protect our Catholic youth, as we do at every World Youth Day.

        After all, it's up to them to carry on the future of the Church for generations to come!

        That's why, many years ago, I came up with a plan to counteract the anti-Catholicism that is so prevalent at World Youth Day.

        This started in 1993, in Denver, Colorado. We were there—and we created a special little booklet about the Catholic faith, designed to inoculate our Catholic youth against anti-Catholic propaganda.

        The booklet has become world-famous. It's titled Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Truth. And in the intervening years, we've published and distributed millions of copies.

And it works!
 

        Our Catholic youth sit down and read this short booklet, and they're given a whole new understanding of why the Catholic faith is the one true Church of Jesus Christ . . . and why it is the religion of the Bible!

        The anti-Catholics don't stand a chance once a Catholic student reads "Pillar".

        Not too long ago, we started distributing another easy-to-read but powerful booklet that's about sexual morality and the teachings of the Church.

        It's called Pure Love, and it's absolutely the best tool I've ever seen when it comes to reaching youth with the reasons why they should practice abstinence, chastity, and self-respect.

        Now, with the new assault on their sexual purity that's going to happen at World Youth Day in Sydney, Australia—coming from the homosexual activists as well as dissident Catholics who are pro-gay, pro-abortion, pro-contraception, pro-condom, etc.—we know we need a defense strategy against these militant forces.

        Therefore, I'm writing to ask for your help in getting hundreds-of-thousands of copies of Pure Love and Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Truth distributed at World Youth Day—which is only a few months away.

        We need to do all we can to protect Catholic students who will be targeted with the anti-Catholic/pro-homosexual/pro-abortion/pro-condom messages that will blanket Sydney.

        That's the truth. Just ask any priest who hears confessions.

        When teens get caught up in a sinful lifestyle, it's very difficult for them to remain close to God and to practice their faith.

        Instead, they start to shut God out of their lives, and they fall deeper and deeper into sin ... in a downward spiral that can cause them to lose their faith entirely ... and even lose their souls.

        My dear friend, we must not let this happen.

        And so I need to ask for your help …

        Right now, we're making all our preparations to distribute Pure Love and Pillar at World Youth Day.

        But we need your help. Please donate now to this very important project.

        But to do that much printing in the next few months will put a heavy strain on our financial resources.

        We estimate the total costs to be at least $165,000.

        That's simply more money than we have right now for this project.

        Is it too much to spend?

        I don't believe so. It works out to about 33 cents for each Catholic youth we reach with this much-needed antidote to the anti-Catholic and immoral propaganda that will flood the streets at World Youth Day.

        And if it saves hundreds of souls, it's a small price to pay.
