Abstract:
"The first aim of the proposed book is to know the state of the art in
research and teaching of criminology and victimology thanks to the
contributions of researchers, academic professors, and experts from all over
the world. The second objective is to analyze the role of these disciplines in
training experts.
The book will study how the interaction between the academic culture and
the specific needs of the field of professional training in criminology and
victimology should create a positive synergy for new solutions.
The Overall Objectives of the Book
1. to define the state of the art scientific research in the fields of
criminology and victimology all over the world;
2. to provide a judicious mix of practical experiences and research in
the form of case studies;
3. to examine, in a holistic and dynamic way, real situations of
teaching, training and of research;
4. to analyze the pros and the cons of different methodologies for
teaching of criminology and victimology in the universities, Police
Academies, and crime victim services;
5. to become a point of reference for people who design and
develop criminology and victimology programs."
