WSUiR is pleased to announce a new partnership: The Kodaly Music Educators of Kansas.

Our first collaboration with be Friday evening, June 15th, 2007, 5:30 p.m., when WSUiR will broadcast the 2007 Wichita State University Children's Kodály Choir Camp concert live.

The concert, held at WSU's Wiedemann Recital Hall, features 69 singers (boys and girls aged 10-14) under the direction of guest conductor, Elaine Quilichini, Artistic Director of the Calgary Girls Choir. Accompanying the children will be Mr. John Wm. Cargile. The children will be performing eight numbers, including the world premiere of a work by Mr. Wayland Rogers of North Park University, Chicago. The piece, an arrangement of a traditional French chanson, Noel c'est l'amour, was commissioned by the Kodály Music Educators of Kansas (KMEK) and the WSU Children's Kodály Summer Choir Camp. Mr. Rogers is this year's featured composer-in-residence and is an alumnus of Wichita State University.

P.S. Don't forget, with our new collaboration with Chamber Music at the Barn we are also broadcasting the entire Chamber Music at the Barn series live this summer.
