I have two projects for the students.
1. One will work with Dr. Huang in my lab. The project is to study the
function of circulating endothelial progeniter cells (EPCs) from renin
and angiotensinogen trangenic mouse. There are several works such as
cell culture, RT-PCR and western blot on endothelium tube formation,
gene expression etc.

2. Another one will be on the study of the cardiovascular changes
during
the development of breeding stroke. The transgenic mice will fed with
a
diet (high salt and NOS inhibitor) to induce spontanous bleeding
stroke
with 2 weeks. The telemetric recording of BP and HR will be applied to
monitor the time course of the stroke development. The gaol is to
study
the hpysiological markers (BP and HR, and their valiability?) for this
type of stroke.
