Hi guys,
Attached are the results for yesterday.
I borrowed Eric's boat without him knowing. Sometimes it is better that way.
Bill is one of my neighbors. He crewed for me on Worrell Brothers. Bill has a 40 foot catamaran and knows a thing or two about sailing. He did a good job trimming the spin sheets.
Wow! Yesterday was the best sailing day in a long time. Good wind, not too much. Flat water. No boat traffic. Lots of hull flying up wind and down wind. Lots of fast sailing. I put Bill on the trapeze for all of the up wind work. I didn't tell him how old the traps were. Eric and I have been talking about replacing the traps for years. I figured that if his trap broke, then he would go for a swim (probably me too). I figured that would make a good story for later. We were double trapped for a short while. I figured that that would make a better story if the skipper's trap broke. Well the traps didn't break and we had a great time. There was one moment when we were double trapped when we very nearly capsized. I put my best poker face on and said, "Yeah, That happens all of the time."
At Stan and Joe's Kris Bergerson said that Chris Allen needs a seat belt.

It has been said this is the worst sailing season ever. Last night may
have been the best night ever.

I wish you could have seen Geiger's face when Bovine smoked him. I
wish I could have seen it too, but he was too far back.
In all fairness, if you have to brag about beating someone then it's
obvious you consider it an accomplishment, thereby flattering them.

Thanks Sheriff for putting the results together!!

I had Mr. Rob Lancaster on the helm Tuesday, he was working the traveler better than a pro!! We smoked by Monkey Knife Fight on the reach from the shoal pin to rhode river R2 like they were parked...about 10seconds after passing them I looked back to see them capsized, wondering what happened. That's a story for Chris. We pushed on, Rob thinking its time to take the kite down, me saying no, wait to R2...we still dropped at least 30seconds too early. Tacked too early for Parish the first round, watched what JT did behind and copied him. I debated shortening course many time. Many. But the sailing was just too good, the air was warm, the water was warm and no one complained at the bar later...

-Sam
P.S: you're welcome for bring some Narraganset Bay breeze south. Conditions were basically the same as we had for 3 out of 4 days of the Americas, just flatter water and a larger gust spread.
P.P.S: I learned a lot in Newport. No one is running enough shroud tension, you should be winding them on and wondering if the boat is going to break if its blowing 15kts. (https://nacrasailing.com/media/tuning-guide-nacra-f18-evolution-2025-13-05-2025-v2.pdf, 200kg =~34 on the loos PT1)
P.P.P.S: Don't go above 28 on the loos gauge on the old boats, around 26 is cool on the A-Cats, probably a smidge more if you're light)

Looking at the BCE makes me think that Geiger was three seconds behind Herbick. Am I looking at that right?
