Are the 505s having a regatta this weekend?
If so grass space may be at a premium

I've heard tell that the Bristol A-Cat fleet loaded all their boats on a semi flat-bed trailer for a trip down to Newport.  The only problem was the trailer was so light it really bounced around. . .

I was just thinking we need a west river version of that trailer for Acats that goes race to race so we can all just do flyin / flyout!

Exactly!!! Like for the 2022 A Cat Worlds in Houston! FL was going to be far enough but Maps tells me Bmore to Houston YC is 20+ hrs drive time…whoa.

When did A-Cat Worlds switch from St. Pete?  I was already registered but don’t think Houston is in my sights….

This week. It's a long story, but effectively the St. Pete Yacht Club couldn't commit to hosting the twice-delayed event, and there is rumor of a money grab by the city for use of the beach that was nowhere near feasible by the class! Houston has lots of class support, though I also agree, its a long haul for most of us and maybe not the destination of choice for many.

I am in the process of getting a house in Houston.  6 beds, but believe I have 4 accounted for.  First come…  I’m open to double-stacking as well.

I booked one this morning, just down the street from the club.  Three spaces available, possibly more if some double in the bunk bed rooms.  Booked for 24 April to 7 May.
