It went downhill after the starts. My best finish was Time Limit Expired, when a bunch of us drifted around at the windward mark for 10 minutes before starting a painful 30 min drift back to the RC. Big mix of conditions, from perfect to none to way too much. My only defense is that I switched to center tramp sheeting with no cleat; probably not a smart move to do that for the first time at a Worlds. Truly crappy tacks were often witnessed…

Tough times it sounds like. I'll be interested in how you enjoyed the land of Lord of the Rings. Safe travels back. And in the future, test changes during a practice session close to home, not half-way around the world. :-)
