Annapolis to Miles River Race - 23 May 2026

Hi All,

The Miles River Yacht Club's calendar has not yet been updated, but I
checked with the Sail Chair and Beach Cats will be invited to race!! 
Yay!  The race will be on Saturday 23 May 2026.  We can have an informal
race back the next day, like we've done in the past.

Please put this on your calendars.  It's one of my favorite races and
would love to show our support.  It is a shorter race than the old
Annapolis to Oxford Race, which means we often get there earlier in the
afternoon and have an opportunity to check out St. Michaels, which is a
wonderful town!  The club also has a nice swimming pool, which means
that significant others, family, and ground crew can be enjoying
themselves while we race down.

I'll let you know when the official NOR gets posted.

Thanks for the Notice of Race for for May 23.  It's always nice to see BeachCats listed as invited.

Did Paul find crew so we have at least the necessary third boat?  If not we should lobby for that at the Skippers meeting.

I'll be most likely moving my daughter out of college that weekend.  Still sorting out details with when her lease ends and when she's leaving.  Road tripping from FL.

Right now Constantine, and I plan to do the race.

Paul was planning to, but now thinks probably not due to scheduling conflicts that came up.  Coline Soloway offered to crew for Paul, so if someone else needs crew, I think he would likely be available.

A new member named Vladimir Eremeev said he might do it on his Nacra 5.2 (i think).  He has done about 25 Florida Challenge  races, so he is certainly tough enough.

Hey, I have done 15 Everglades Challenges only!!  I will decide if I want to do the race after my first day of sailing the boat from the club on Tuesday.  Ideally I would like to sail my another Nacra F17, not the one I will keep at the club, but logistics are getting complicated. 

Anyway I will let you know next week.
