Do you remember when Constantine and Ed were friends? It was the Annapolis to Oxford Race on 9/10/16 when their friendship started to unravel. They both sailed solo on their F16s on that controversial day. The A2G race is like our Superbowl. It is a long distance race and a significant accomplishment to complete. On this long day and after many miles, these two racers were side by side approaching the finish line. This alone is quite impressive and indicates how closely they are matched and they had a good day racing. Ed was uncertain where the finish line was and hollered to Constantine for clarification. Constantine intentionally gave Ed incorrect information. This made Ed change course abruptly and capsize. Constantine crossed the finish line laughing quietly to himself and wringing his hands like Mr. Burns on The Simpsons or the Grinch who stole Christmas. Ed’s mast filled up with water and his boat went turtle.
The finish line was very close to the beach where many of the cat sailors had finished and put their boats away because most of us are faster than Constantine and Ed. So, we saw the whole thing. Constantine came to the beach, put his boat away and started to eat snacks. A bunch o cat sailors borrowed a motorboat and went out to help Ed. It took about eight guys and 45 minutes to get Ed and his wreck to the beach. Constantine and I watched the operation while eating snacks.
When Constantine intentionally gave Ed incorrect information, was that acceptable behavior in the spirit of racing because Ed should have known where the finish line was? Or was that unsportsmanlike like conduct?

2016?  Really?  They were both kids back then!  None of us can remember past last week.

I think the statue of limitations has run out for a protest.
