Admiral Byrd Cup

I want to alert all of you to a slight schedule change. Due to some internal matters, the club has had to move the Byrd Cup forward one weekend to July 18-19. I have been assured that this date is firm and will not change. I hope you can all still attend. I'm so looking forward to the A Cats dazzling the club members who have never seen such quick boats before. You will open some eyes for sure.

I have Pat Stadt, John Baker, and Chris Ford staying at Hotel Nees. There is still one open bed. After that, you're on your own. I will make sure the city has the park open, and you can drive on the grass over to the small beach. You should be able to keep your vehicles/trailers there and the boats overnight if you choose. I'll confirm all of that. 

I'm already getting excited with so many months to go. I'd join you on my old man cat, but I'll be busy working the regatta.

Thanks for the offer of accommodation, but I don’t have a boat and I live in Austin  tx.

There must have been another Chris who responded. That, or I'm getting old and seeing things... Anyway, we have a fleet with the world traveling A Cat racer, Chris Bolton coming on board. Can we make it a half dozen? I know you guys can do it.

Hi David, 

I've been watching the thread and pondering if I can do the regatta.  I'll throw my name in the mix and will try hard to make it but will be coming back from running a Chicago to Mackinac campaign the weekend before.  

If you get another interested party, you can give my spot to them.
