I was discussing this with a couple of you over the weekend but I didn’t have much info - below link is a pretty good capture of the events. As a CO of several big ships and an EAGLE sailor, I never would have planned a departure from the pier during a flood current with on-bridge winds and only one tug for a single screw ship - should have been the first red flag during their navigation brief.

I went past the ship yesterday during a delivery while in the east river.  Sad sight..
