Hi, guys. I have able bodied and capable sailor from my club’s (SMSA) high school program wanting to get involved in catamaran racing.
If anyone needs a crew today please let me know ASAP.
Thanks
Vladimir.

Glad,

I saw you leave the ramp with a young sailor aboard and am guessing that was him.  I hope you guys had a fun race

See you soon,

Jahn

We did! He will be back, although not next week.  Now I need to figure out how to fit a jib on “Atomic Bumblebee”. I have the sail, but I don’t have any hardware.
Is anyone have unused Nacra jib cars lying around?  Nacra I20 were equipped with them before self-tacker days.
I also wonder if modern rec Nacras (570, 500) have the same front beam section as older Inters? (I can order new cars for Nacra 570)
Also is double purchase necessary on small jib or single sheet will do? How it is done on F16?
Thanks!

Vlad,

If you're going to add a jib, just go full self tacker. Pay now or have your crew pay later...

I don't believe the actual exterior dimensions of the Inter-17/20 front beam have changed since the release of that boat. I.e, if the beam bolt holes lined up with the hulls you could drop a Nacra Infusion/Infusion Mk. 2/Evolution beam on your boat. What has changed through the years are the internal reinforcements for said beams.

Thank you, Sam! I still don’t have a self taker on i20. So, I guess the proper course of actions would be to add self tacker to I20 and move jib cars from i20 to f17. I don’t know yet. I was hoping that there are unwanted jib cars sitting in someone’s tool box.
I really want to keep F17 as a solo boat with just occasional use for two-up.
