Those who choose to skip did so wisely...breeze was NNW, gusting from 10 to 18kts. Completely unsettled. Many park-ups and then full sends. To make matters more interesting, the tide was super low..you could walk 20ft out from the club and not be waist high. Course was north start, rhode, parish, rhode, parish, rhode, home. Connie and I foolishly followed Pat into the course-favored shady side part of the river, south of R6/G5....yep, we found the oyster bar, and yes, we had daggerboards up a fair bit. I sent Mary flying around the forestay, boat pivoted on leeward board. Fortunately she made the complete trip, could scramble aboard to leeward, then we could swap places so I could brute muscle the daggerboard back up. We get going again and find the other part of the oyster bar on the way to G5...this time rudders popped, so maybe 2' of water there. Completely foolish, as we could have stayed in the channel like Expletive and Bovine did.
