Why do people call me Baker? Shouldn't it be Mr. Baker or Sir?

Maybe Lord Howe Baker, then he can say he has an island named after him. But will they let him in the palace....

I’m thinking we drop the”Baker” and the “John” and just start calling him “Morris”….

It warms my heart to see the enthusiasm, sincerity and creativity you guys put into this thing. It is obvious that you agree with me.
There was a time when Tihansky was calling me Sheriff. That was August 2020 when I decisively spanked him on the race course.

I thought it was because you made bread?

John,

You teed this one up for everyone, and yet the responses were all
friendly and complementary. Better luck next time.

I figured since he was a bread maker, he "kneaded" it up 🤣

Clearly it’s the same reason we call Gieger, “Geiger.” At one point there were too many Johns to keep straight so we went with last names. Jahn sometimes gets caught up in this when referred to as “Tihansky” but with other readily available nicknames - “JT” or “Coach” or even “Coach T” - it’s hard to get him too mixed up with the others.

We had a similar problem with Chrises at one point but the current ones outlasted the others so we’re left with Bergerson and Chris Allen (who you might think would be “Allen” based on the previous algorithm but then we’d all be wondering who this “Alan” guy was).

To wrap this up, there might be a lot of Johns and a lot of Chrises but there’s only one “Baker” so I ask you - would you really want it any other way?

Sincerely,
Andy (the one and only 😬)

I like to call Mr Baker Iron Man.  Anyone who can wrestle thousands of pounds of misbehaving metal into submission on a daily basis deserves the title. And Superman was already taken.
