Coaches, Team Mom and parents:

We reached home by 9:20 pm, safe and sound.
DeFreitas family wants to say thanks to the coaches and to our official team mom Crystal, for making this trip an excellent experience.
The girls proved themselves that they are good, and with our guest players the games were as our past year level.
They went pretty far by not letting no one score on them during the four games, they worked as a team, so hope we all can stay together, for more tournaments to come.
And to the parents of course ,was a pleasure departing with all of you.

I want to first congratulate the girls on a very successful tournament. Going into this I was unsure how the girls were going to do on the bigger field and with the introduction of two additional players on the field. These young ladies surpassed my expectations. They took to 8v8 like if they had been playing it all year.  This makes me very excited to see what they will accomplish next season. Coach Carsten and I truly wanted the girls to end the season on a high note. Finishing second in such a mentally and physically draining game, with all the tears was not exactly what I wanted. Seeing them like that broke my heart. But they game 110% never giving up and working well as a team. They should be extremely proud of themselves and they should be excited about what next season brings. 

Thank you all for your the support. Crystal thank you for making the trip so enjoyable for the girls. The camaraderie off the field is as important as on the field. They will never forget the great times that had this weekend.

Parents make sure the girls rest. They need plenty of water and they should stretch a couple of time a day. I will ask Coach Carsten to to run some exercises on Wednesday to help stretch them out and help them recoup.  Coach Carsten will be confirming if the new head coach for next year will be at practice Wednesday or not.

Bert,

Thank you and Jason for doing an outstanding job leading the girls to the Championship Game!!!  Giving up zero goals in a tournament is a first in my experience over the last 3 years of Kristen playing travel soccer!  In my opinion, this weekend was the best performance for this team ever.  Three of the four games were extremely competitive and really enjoyable to watch.  I can't wait to see what these girls can do next year!!
