Western Guilford High School Class Of 1978 Western Guilford Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2018   This year’s induction ceremony will be held September 20, at The Kress Terrace and Suite 300 in downtown Greensboro. Cost of attendance is $30 per person.   Patron of Athletics  Mr Henry Bondurant  A coach and volunteer in the Western Guilford community for over 40 years   Coach  George Kennedy  Coached Western Guilford Men’s and Women’s Soccer to Three State Championships. (One Men’s in 1992 and Two Women’s in 2004 and 2005)   Team  The 1977 Football Team Won the 1977, 3A State Championship   Five Athletes Ms. Jean Lojko  Class of 1976 - A 4 Sport standout, Jean gathered 14 varsity letters during her 4 years at Western in Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, and Track. She went on to star at UNC Greensboro in Volleyball, Softball, and Basketball. She has been a long time coach, administrator, and professor at Greensboro College.   Mr. Glen Morris  Class of 1978 – Glen was a standout in Basketball, Track and Football, where he was a member of the 1977 State Championship team. He went on to star at East Carolina and spent time playing in the Canadian Football League.   Mr. Melvin Saunders  Class of 1995 – Melvin excelled in Football, Track and Wrestling and was the 1995 State Champion wrestler in the 145 pound weight class. Ms. Karli Eller  Class of 2002 – Karli amassed 13 Varsity Letters at Western in 5 different sports: Softball, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, and Golf. In 2002, Karli was All Area in Softball and Soccer while playing both of them at the same time.   Ms. Radiance Basden  Class of 2008 – Radiance starred in Indoor and Outdoor Track .
