WGHS : Richard's family

Hey Everyone,

I guess it's our age, but the black cloud of 2021 continues to hit our Guilford College Community. Darryl Richard's father, Cletis Richard, died on 8.12.21. This family has been a part of Guilford College for as long as I can remember. David Richard and Barbara Richard Coble ('75) are the remaining kids of Cletis ....and we are trying to get addresses for them, should any of you want to connect with them. I was lucky enough to work for Cletis for four years in his wallpaper business....what a fun boss that he was....he loved his ice cream, and in the summer months made fairly regular trips to Yum Yum to bring ice cream back to everyone in the shop. I can still hear him laughing, and he had the prettiest eyes (I know guys don't like being called pretty....but his eyes were!!)

Nancy Blackwelder has gotten me the information about the service for Cletis.....visitation will be at the Forbis and Dick on West Friendly Avenue on Tuesday 8.17.21 from 1:00-2:30. and then the grave site service will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery , 3901 Forest Lawn Drive, (off Pisgah Church near Battleground), at 3:00 pm. 

Please keep this family in your prayers for the difficult days in front of them.
